I haven't seen mcgeady play well any time that I've watched him. He puts in a lot of effort which I appreciate, but I wouldn't put him ahead of pienaar from what I've seen.

During halftime of this ManU vs Liverpool relegation practice match, Fox Sports commentators mentioned only Everton being linked to Tom Cleverley and that ManU are making cuts after this game. I'm guessing we'll know in only "48 hours"?

This stuff is great, keep it up. I'll try my hand: A woman is in the checkout line at a supermarket and puts bacon, eggs and milk on the conveyor belt when a gruff-looking, tough man walks up behind her. He takes a look at the bacon, the eggs and the milk, then looks at her, smirks and says "you must be single". The woman is taken aback and a bit confused. She looks at him, then the bacon, eggs and milk, then back to the gruff man and says "well, yeah, but how did you know?" The man responds "Because you're ugly as hell."

Didn't realize that, I won't get my hopes up then. Thanks for the tips, and this camaraderie is what attracted me to Everton in the first place. Is there a certain time during the game where they stop selling beer? During hockey games here in the U.S., they'll stop serving beer after the 2nd intermission so that people start to sober up when they need to get the heck out. I think it's a pretty good policy but, yeah, beer. <3 Good stuff Matt, thanks.

So there's a good chance my wife and I will be going to the home game against Southampton in April but I've never been to a game before. I was wondering what the dos and don'ts are with going to the game. Wearing the jersey of a wrong year, saying the wrong thing, ordering the wrong beer, etc. I also prefer to get started with the pre-gaming well in advance, so what are the good places to grab some beers before the game without making myself stand out too much? I remember seeing a thread on this forum about needing to order beers in larger amounts to not annoy people, are there any things like that I should know about bars/restaurants before the game? Also related to this but very, very important: Do they sell beer during the game in the stadium? There's also a chance we'll be going to the away game at Swansea the following weekend. Any additional tips for etiquette traveling to away matches? Thanks in advance for the tips, anything is appreciated.

Seems like when I don't know what country a player is from, a safe bet is Belgium. I don't know much about this player, any thoughts?

Loving the kits, especially this away one, although I can't wait for the third. I didn't get a chance to grab the part-navy one from last year so I'll have to jump on this one. You know, something to accompany that beautiful pink jersey I wear.

Hello! Just created an account after following the team for 5-6 years (at first casually, but ramping it up in the last couple of years). I live in DC but grew up in the NYC area. I've been drawn to the team because of the warm and hospitable fan base, as well as being able to watch some American soccer heroes playing for the team (counting Donovan here). As others have probably mentioned, soccer/football is becoming much bigger in the states and I assume it will be one of the top two supported sports in America in 30 years. But there's a long way to go! I'm looking forward to following a lot of the discussions in this forum, and thanks for having me! -Ian
