  1. I'm all ready to build on that 0 point foundation I've built from last week's predictions. Although I'd be much happier with a win for the good guys. BTW, is COYB something that's used by all fans or just a social media campaign? Sorry for the newbie question.
  2. I'm in DC (Northern VA) myself. Welcome, you'll enjoy it here!
  3. @premierleague posted this little nugget: Swansea & Burnley have met in the 4th, 3rd & 2nd tier of English football. On Saturday, they clash in the #BPL for the 1st time #SWABUR
  4. My wife suggested "Forgettable Sex in the City" and "My Big Fat Greek Wedding Night". Maybe I should be worried.
  5. http://prosoccertalk.nbcsports.com/2014/08/20/mikel-arteta-out-at-least-two-weeks-with-sprained-ankle-will-miss-besiktas-clash/ Arteta out for our meeting eh?
  6. I was, and you're right, sorry. I was mixing up that game and the Madrid vs. Madrid match. Because that's what I do.
  7. In other words, I think they'll really bring some heat this weekend.
  8. Idk. I thought Giroud looked like he hadn't found his touch yet, but that Sanchez looked great. They also got a 1-1 draw while playing poor without Oezil and in an absolutely electric and hostile stadium.
  9. "Roberto Martinez says Ross Barkley will be back far faster than the 5 months mentioned in some quarters. Looks like best case 7-8 weeks#EFC" According to O'Keefe to echo earlier posts.
  10. So I'm legitimately wondering how many of us were watching the game with 10 minutes to go and knew how this was going to end. The writing was really on the wall given the flow of the game and how we like to give up points to "lesser" opponents. I think we're in a good position to work on our closing mentality now, though. Given that we know how good our team can be (from last year's results), the only culprits would be match fitness or lack of concentration. Match fitness shouldn't be an excuse because all teams are in the start of the season now. The only things separating us from a champion's league spot is that lack of mental toughness toward opponents we should beat, and a small amount of squad depth. One of those can be addressed systematically over this course of this season and will benefit us greatly in the long term, and the other we can throw a couple of bucks toward some players for loans as far as I'm concerned.
  11. Paddock is on a roll right now, hard to beat those.
  12. Ha! That's great. Both the bye news and the MU news. Time to get some new silverware.
  13. http://prosoccertalk.nbcsports.com/2014/08/13/can-everton-crack-the-top-four-this-year/ The answer is yes!?
  14. I get the same sense. I looked at the video of his first impressive touches and after going "woah", I got the feeling that he was very close to losing the ball in a dangerous spot, and might not have even realized the third player was there before he did his second move and the cross. I think he's got to be a little bit more careful, but I'm still excited!
  15. If I had to rate how sad analyzing comments is, I'd give it a 5 out of 10.
  16. Woof, Kings AND Blackhawks? That's almost not fair. Scratch that, it's completely not fair. Haha.
  17. :jump for joy: :jump for joy: :jump for joy: I can smell the incoming success of this season.
  18. At least we have lukaku vs Chelsea and Barry vs Man City this time around.
  19. Just gonna leave this here. https://vine.co/v/MiPqXuIlZUi (Edited because I failed at embedding, haha. So just linking instead.)
