Eto! Man of the Match,!
-
We can't try and park the bus here...need to maintain possession and push forward. Dont want an Arsenal repeat.

I was impressed with Lukaku when he came on and thought Jags did a solid job defending. I'm happy for the point because I don't know if there is anything else to take away from this game. (Though what the hell was up with the grass today? Looked like it was coming up in chunks. Do they not have groundskeepers in France?)

Meant Browning. Pretty sure I had some whiskey in me when I posted that.Who is Dawkins?
-
From my novice eye, we can't put a price on Barkley. He totally changed the form of the entire team. With him, Stones, Lukaku and possibly Dawkins? That's a bright future and now

I think Bobby should start a reserve side. The Burnley match is key. This one is not. But even so it may be winnable with inspired post from the reserves.

Miami is a terrible sports town and sports fans in Miami don't even defend it.
MLS is improving in attendance and quality but obviously has a long way to go. The scheduling drives me crazy--they play at random hours during the week and weekend.
At this point I don't support at team though I live in DC, but I do watch a fair amount to see how our internationals are playing.
That said, if you are in England or Europe and you are watching MLS, you must be bored or easily entertained because the quality compared to the EPL is very low. (Though improving)

Baines easily. Real quality today
-
Barley making a huge difference today.

Yes. Keep the pressure on Villa and they'll fold into four or five conceded.Let's keep the pressure up, score another one and they'll have to stop trying to counter us and play.
-
I only got to see the first half today, but I thought Lukaku was a little better. It appeared to my novice eye that Belgium uses him a little differently. He didn't have his back to the goal very much and was making more runs towards the goal. Missed the one good opportunity he had though and it looks like they took him off, so maybe he wasn't as good as I thought.

Will Stones out it seems like Browning will see more time...
-
Shit fuck shit. He's been one of the best, if not the best, player so far.
-
Don't even know what to say...really disappointed in the result. Somehow it feels like we deserved more. Injuries are taking their toll.
-
Just finished the game. I thought that the midfield was poor. We could not move the ball through the center 2/3rds.
I've been critical of Lukaku but he's not getting enough support. Lets hope the team gets healthy quickly.

I've got my DVR set to record this one as I can't possibly sneak out of work at Noon tomorrow East Coast USA time. This is an interesting fixture; Krasnodar seems to be a bit of a mystery.

The biggest positive to me was that the defense looked more organized than it has to date. There wasn't much space for Sterling and Balotelli. I thought Howard played mostly well. Maybe he should have made that save on the free kick, but also don't forget that that penatly was garbage. Balotelli flopped; there wasn't any contact so it should never have been given.
They didn't get much going offensively but I think that was the game plan. They played it safe and limited their mistakes. I think there are positives to build on going into Old Trafford next week.

The young RB that came on looked good to me. Promising stuff
-
God that was great.
-
Move Lukaku to the middle!
-
Stones has been solid. Like his effort so far.
-
Barry has been bad so far.
-
Rose and Stenson may never miss another putt. Unbelievable.
-
What the fuck was wrong with West Brom in that they couldn't score a goal on us? The defense would let in two goals against a youth team at this point. I don't know what is going on with this team but I'm starting to worry about relegation and it is September. Shit needs to get fixed quickly.
