We know now that the players and even his assistant manager Ryan Gigg's were undermining David Moyes at every opportunity because basically they just looked down upon him as a nobody who hadn't ever won anything. He was never given a fair chance, because the Man U players considered him beneath them before he had even walked into the dressing room. I do honestly believe that if fans just waited a season or two before they started protesting and hiring out planes, then the manager would be much more likely to turn things around as he wouldn't be under such an enormous burden of pressure and hostile negativity. But in this day and age that just isn't going to happen I guess...

I became an Everton supporter because of David Moyes and how he ran his team. Loads of character from him, the players, and the atmosphere at Goodison. They looked and acted like real fighters at times. Thats what I believed in!!! A fighting squad. But what are we left with now? A shell, something hollowed out. He had a long tenure at Everton which I also respect. I still feel bad for the guy for how he was treated when he moved over to ManU. Absolutely disrespectful. He was in his element at Everton. He should have never had left, and he probably thinks the same thing from time to time. But now his confidence is completely gone.

Like you said: the fans, the media, and the players can really turn a managers working environment hostile. We are human after all, but when the stakes are high the margin for error become razor thin. Who in their right mind takes such a job?? haha.

I think Koeman deserves more time. Let him ride this out. How can we as supports expect silverware and glory in such a short amount of time. Patience!!! It's hard to watch at times, but the answer is not a new manager. It will only further our discontinuity. We need to be critical of our manager and the squad the he builds up, but that's it. We are still building. Some pieces will not work and that is his fault, it's his job to fix it. Let him do his job for awhile longer at least

That's what I could hear through the radio feed, but after we conceded the second it was as if all the air was sucked out of the place. I couldn't even hear a rally when 5 minutes of extra time was posted. I can't blame the faithful.....if there's any of those left

How much time does he need to adjust?? He's been in the setup since June. Klassen has had plenty of experience in the Europa league which is why I, guess, he's in the squad today. He should be leading the line in these situations, no??

In his defense he's only 24, still  youngish, but he needs to improve!

The last midfielder we signed from them got the winner at Goodison with his debut goal, vs city.

This game, and in particular that goal, was what made an Everton fan and believer out of me. As an American, having Donovan tee up that sweet layoff for Gibson to smash home was special for me. Just something about it.

I think we will collect three this one if we can keep our house in order i.e. defense. How about a clean sheet you blues???

A mentor??? Really? He's played 150 premier league games. If Ross was a foreigner there would be a tenth of the posts on this. Yes everyone wants him to do well - he has a decent touch, two feet and his obvious physical attributes but I struggle to understand how fans think that if dimitri payet or david silva come and play with him he is suddenly going to have this eye for a killer pass. He doesn't have it, he has never had this. He is never a creator of chances and he will never be.

He does not have the quickness of thought of any of the players we want him to be. It is not even close. The guy is a shoe in to give the ball away when we simply need a 10 yard through pass in the dying minutes to create a chance. Am I watching a different game? It isn't confidence, it isn't fans getting on his back, it is simply talent. Yes, he has some talent - he's good on instinct, but you can never teach the football brains of this world. Ever seen a playmaker suddenly become good because of a mentor??????

I would say Ross needs a different perspective. If he's not happy at Everton (for whatever reason that might be) maybe he needs to be loaned out once more. I think a a mentor/player is also another solution. Ross is a young guy, there is still plenty he can learn about the game from someone who is experienced in the position he is trying to fulfill. Overall though, Ross is not cutting it at the moment, and its showing again in Everton's final third scenarios; hence the frustration.
