Why wouldn't we just be in for the Lyon winger? One third of the price, perhaps a bit more of a risk in terms of quality but doesn't seem far off from Bolasie to be honest.

Assuming the original 100m is true, we should see some real activity now. Pocket 30m from stones deal and Pogba move being done. Hopefully get some creativity next.

Daily mail reporting a four year deal... Makes more sense. 2 years at 12m would've been odd.

They want 30, we've bid 18. That puts the likely fee 23-24 million. As everyone keeps saying, we've got money, so let's spend some.

I mean, we don't need to act like Wenger, but we don't need to overspend just because we can, either.. I'd say 24m is a bit high for him, but I wouldnt be totally put off if thats what went through. Absolute no at 30, though.

If that's the case we would still need at least one more CF and for me he would need to be better than Bony

 

 

Yup.. Only like this deal if Bony is meant to be our second striker / provide the option to go with two up top. If Rom goes, we'll still need to sign a proper striker.

I don't mind the set up on paper actually.. Allow Baines and Coleman to get themselves forward and regain some of the form the ylost last season, hopefully.

 

 

chelsea doesn't have european football, they sucked last year. its london and less money or liverpool and more money and a guaranteed spot every week (unlike chelsea).

This is true this year, but with their transfer activity and history I'm sure players feel more confident that they'll consistently be in Euro consideration than they do coming here.

So it comes down to what's more important to him - the terms or Euro play?
