1. I wouldnt want Shearer any where neart the England squad. His views on Engalnds performance consist of a good old pals act with any player beyond criticism. The last thing we need after the world cup is complacency. Shearer is a grade a typical FA yes man just like McLarren and that prick Trever Brooking.

The entire squad needs a big kick up the arse and changes do have to made. That includes dropping golden bollox Beckham when he has a shyte game and giving someone with a pair the captains armband (Terry/Gerrard). I dont think McLarren is the right man to do it either, we'll see the same disjointed clueless crap we have now when Sven steps down. Pitty our press are such a bunch of wankers or we'd have Scolari.

  2. We got over £14 million from the Sky TV payments and our 11th per league place. Then there's season ticket sales on top of that and the money we didnt spend in January.

The new deal the Premiership bosses have just brokered with Sky and Setanta is worth £1.7 billion up £600 mil from last time. It will see us and every other premiership team getting a minimum of £28 million every year (starting 2007/08) for the next 3 years for TV rights. That will no doubt go towards the funding of our new stadium and hopefully some quality players. Do you trust Moyes with that amount of money?

  3. Owens injury has shown Erickson for what he is, a bumbling twat who isn't fit for the England job, 5 million a year to pick 3 forwards coming back from injury and one lanky string of piss who cant score to save his life. How he can select Walcott and not play him in the group stages is beyond a joke. You cant blood a figing 17 year old in the knock out phase. So we are stuck with Bambi on Ice or an unfit Rooney.

The press bang on about our midfield as the best in the world but they can't keep posession of the ball. And still some journalists are still using the mantra "Dont worry it'll all come good." When? No more second or third chances, we fig up against Ecuador its the plane home.

  4. I'll go for a tough 1-0 win with Rooney to score. I just wish the players would stop telling the media pre match what they're going to do and how we're going to win it. It's not like the press need any help raising expectations. Like Terry was saying today he'd like to go through the entire tournament without England conceeding a goal. It sets them up for a fall. No need to be negative but just let the results do the talking.

  5. Loyalty is a rare quality among good football players and its definately one of the most important in a club building towards the future. If Johnson can live up to expectations and fill striking problem we've had since 87 then it might be the start of something special. I haven't felt this optimistic for long time.

  6. If you need to rephrase it; you got it wrong. You can rephrase it as many times as you wish and it´ll sound daft. Crouch has done what he was bought to do and is also scoring at international level.

Crouch won`t be going to Everton so you`ve nothing to worry about; but the logic of having DF and calling Crouch a Failure is baffling.

Cisse scored 17 in total, nine in the league, but was rarely played as a first choice striker and often deployed as a winger. he`s being sold because Rafa doesn`t seem him as part of his plans.

How many did your highest scorer score in all competitions last season? In fact how many did the strikers score combined?

    30436

You brought in a first choice striker to score 6 league goals over an entire seaon, who are you trying to kid? Just becuase a player scored for England doesnt mean hes good, every donkey has their day Heskey can testify to that.

When did I praise Ferguson? He's one of the biggest wasters ever to wear an Everton shirt, but thats off topic.

Since you have your scoring books out, you will find Beatie scored more than Cisse, Crouch, Morientes or Smackhead in the league last season.

  7. Wrong on a few points:

    1 Crouch wasn`t a "big name" signing.

2 He was bought as a target man and has done very well in this role, breaking into the England taem (and scoring a few goals) and helping Liverpool to win the FA and Super Cup finals. Failed big name signing..................not.

3 Cisse scored 17 goals in all competitions last season despite playing out of position. Doesn`t fit into Rafa`s plans; if that`s failure, then any out`nòut striker with less is a complete flop.

Ok let me rephrase hes a seven million pound failure. You can harp on about target man but he's a striker who scored six goals in the Premiership. I wouldn't have Crouch in the Everton squad let alone anywhere near the England one, hes fucking shite.

Henry being the benchmark scored 27 in the league, Cisse scored 9 so hes been a £14million failure in my opinion. If he's doing that well why was he about to be sold for almost half that till he broke his leg?

  8. EFC said...................Bellamy is one player I'm glad we didn't sign. Yea hes got passion and he gives his all, but he plays for himself not the team.

    ..............................

Think hes a bit better than that, besides scoring 17 goals for Bllackburn he also had more "assists" than his team mates.  At £6m i think he will be a better player than Cisse Has ever been for RS.  IMO. ;)

    30359

I said that licker. He scored 13 goals in the league this season which isnt exactly earth shattering. Two assists isnt brilliant either, Kuqi their other striker got 4 and he only started 15 games.

He scored some good goals no doubt and made an average blackburn side look decent but he wont be the star player if he joins joins the red shite and that led to his downfall at Newcastle.

He can't play second fiddle to anyone for the good of the team or not. As for Cisse, he has been another failed big name signing along with Moriientes and Crouch.

  9. Assuming the sale speculation was down to the press or his agent (its the only way I can bring myself to support him) a fit VD Meyde will be like a new signing next season. He's still a good prospect and a mile better than Kilbane. I'm interested to see how he plays after a decent pre season.

  10. pfft good goal <_<

ive seen better goals than that from our players

    30097

Credit where its due it was a quality goal. Crouch shouldn't be in the first eleven, he isnt good enough, an embarassment really nothing to do with his gawky features but his lack of composure and quality of finish.

That said Owen is playing shite as well like I knew he would, lost his pace and confidence. I can't remember the last time I saw him knock the ball past a man and beat him. You don't suddenly turn into top form after 2 years of mediocrity and injury. He scored one goal in the last WC and I don't see him ecplipsing that here. Sad fact is he has to play though, Rooney cant lead the line on his own.

I'd like to see Lennon start, hes a breath of fresh air with his pace and dribbling. Far more effective than Beckhams predictable direct balls where we get marked out of most of the game by even shite teams. No chance of golden boy being dropped though.

  11. He may have played for himself but he scored some impressive goals for blackburn, and im sure Blackburn fans wont mind the club being used as a stepping stone as he has raised the profile of the club with his goals.

Good luck to him falling on his face at the shite the welsh t##t

    30056

You dont think they'd mind eh? Like when Barmby, Jeffers, Rooney etc fucked us off when they hit their peak we all wished them well and said thanks for the memories?

  12. Moyes transfer record is suspect to say the least but Bellamy is one player I'm glad we didn't sign. Yea hes got passion and he gives his all, but he plays for himself not the team. He's a childish journeyman who doesnt care about anyone but himself. He's used Blackburn as a stepping stone just like he did to everyone before it.

  13. Looks like could be another over the top player, in  3 seasons at Porto he hasnt played a league match, only plays in Euro matches and internationals.      Has played 19 games and been used 6 times as sub, and scored 8 goals, but all in other competitions.    Very very strange.  not played a lot of football in the last 3 seasons.

So on that basis he might give us the same amount of games we got from V D Meyde

That infos wrong he has played every year in the league in the last 3 seasons. They must only be recording European games.

  14. Blooding an uproven 17 year old at the World Cup finals without any domestic let alone international experience is wreckless and carefree. It could only be done by a foreign coach who doesn't really give a fuck about England. He's already got a contract at Real Madrid waiting for him regardless of our performance so don't be suprised if we see some more hair brained decisions in the next matches.
