  1. I remember Neville shouting orders at everyone at his first game for us, he is definately the most natural leader we have and he's learned how to from one of the best captains of modern times, Roy Keane. He's not the best going forward but he breaks up play effectively, runs himself into the ground and makes sure people stay alert and in position. He would be the obvious choice next season and since Moyes is his biggest fan its almost a certainty.
  2. yea theres a lot of threads about it on other boards from around the time it happened, this is one: "Bloody hell how long has this been doing the rounds. FACT 1 Yes it did happen Lescott, Naylor, Murray and Andrews we all out in wolves, happended at the Bank pub on lichfield street. FACT 2 Lescott was having a thing with a well known wolves gangster misses. FACT 3 Wolves fc has covered it up! HAPPY NOW, Can we all move on!"
  3. First off I stated Owen was our best option for now, but thats due to the lack of forwards we have coming through or being blooded (and I dont mean Walcott). I know Owens been injured but he hasnt played consistantly well since he left Liverpool. The crocked player I mentioned was Rooney... Secondly, Raul has scored around 44 goals for Spain, not too shabby and Adriano would run rings around Owen all day and he can score with it. You can add Trezeguet, Et'o, Ronaldinho, Van Nistelrooy and even Larrson to the list who piss all over Owen. Owen is a one trick pony and quality International sides know how to keep him quiet. Yes he has a good scoring ratio for England but in the World Cup you need players at the top of their form. Not half fit. Owens scored 20 club goals in 2 years added to the fact he hasnt played for 6 months. Hes a decent player but hes off form. All this hype about how hes going to bring England the World Cup is bullshit. You say you would prefer Owen over Henry in an international side. Do you remember Euro 2004 the last real tournament? Owen scored one goal in the entire tournament and twice in Japan in 2002.
  4. To answer your question, Defoe should have been in the squad over Wolcott from the start, but it looks like hes staying now Rooney's scoring scissor kicks in training. I have always thought Owen was over-rated. When he finally moved out of his Anfield comfort zone he was just a bit part player at Real. The less said about Newcastle the better. Hes constantly touted as one of the best strikers in the world but he goes missing sometimes for entire games, his Hungary performance was shite but not suprising. With only Rooney falling into the world class forward bracket Owens the best option we have atm even half fit. But he's nowhere near the class of Ronaldo, Henry, Shevchenko, Rooney, Raul, Adriano etc etc. Owen will be first on the team sheet no matter how crap he plays and with Sven taking a crocked player and a 17 year old as the alternatives its even more certain.
  5. After ruining the Shite , Blackburn and Newcastle (how much money did he waste there?), I'm suprised even a Championship side will take a gamble on that rat featured twat. Palace have my condolances.
  6. Well he played around 30 games for em but hes going to some middle east side for one final big money move.
  7. Goals have been a problem for so long I think Lineker was the last to score over 20 when we won the league. The goalless draws and one nils we lost last year can be swapped for 3 points if Beattie and Johnson form a good understanding. We are defo better than Wigan, West Ham and Blackburn. Our contendors will be Newcastle who have a good squad and Bolton - boring as fuck but they grind out results although without Okocha they could slide.
  8. I've said the same thing myself, Erickson's got the charisma and match presence of a house plant. If nancy isn't wearing the pants then his other partner Beckham is. He doesnt have a single original thought of his own. Far too easily influenced by public (or an Arsenal managers) opinion you know hes never going to drop Owen or Beckham this summer no matter what their form.
  9. Moysie will be pushing the squad for a European top six spot no matter what he says in the press. Johnson will be all out to impress along with Van Der Meyde which is a mouth watering prospect if Arteta and Cahill are on form. Assuming we get Lescott all we need is a quality right winger and 6th is doable barring an injury crisis.
  10. Jamaica are the equivalent at a mediocre chamionship team at best . I've seen non league sides defend better. That lanky string of piss will be found out against half decent opposition, probably Sweeden or Germany in round 2. He cant dribble, no pace, a lot say he has a great touch but he looks shaky whenever hes in posession and lays off the easiest ball possible. He can provide some decent arial support to Owen but hes another no where near his best either, hasnt been for years.
