  1. I can only agree with most of the comments here...Carsley is only going to be a years stop gap, and we need to find an alternative for him while he is still at the club.

Last season, Carsley was a little of his old pace, which is only to be expected when a player starts to get on a bit...however, he put in 110% effort and looked solid for the best part of it.

    :)

  2. I'm never sure of the truth in media stories, but I read that he had a large clash with the board and management at Benfica. I don't see that this would be much of a problem with Moyes though, as he is pretty firm handed when players step out of line.

I would like to think we can keep hold of him, however not at that asking price...which is probably the stumbling block...

    :)

  3. I think he probably is doing a fair bit behind the scenes. Remember, Moyes does tend to keep everything under his hat until the last minute...possibly to throw the press off a story, to deter others from a late bidding war, who knows, but I would like to think he has several larger signings up his sleeve...only time will tell.

    ;)

  4. Firstly, sorry for not being on the forum for a while, but things have beeb a little hectic recently in our household.

Anyway, with the apology out of the way, I thought I would share a coule of pics of my 8 day old baby blue boy, Benjamin...who watched the entire RS v AC game with me and his grandad yesterday evening...

Here is the latest addition to the Everton clan...

    Good times!

  5. you can subscribe to everton.tv and get live streaming commentary...but it is only what you can hear on Radio City 96.7...costs £3.99 a month. Its worth it is you don't live in the Merseyside area, or can not get near a radio.

Unfortunately, Radio City and Radio Merseyside do not broadcast live football commentary over the internet for contractual reasons.

    :)

  6. I have been searching around on the internet for around an hour so far, and although I have been able to find nearly every other game in the Premiership today, I have struggled, as so far, I can not find an Everton link anywhere...if you know of one, please post it up ASAP...

  7. This a true, yet totally amazing story about the wonders of technology and an email error, which was printed by John Behan in the New York Times in November 2004.

"A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to escape an icy winter at home. They planned to spend their holiday in the same hotel where they had spent their honeymoney some twenty years earlier.

However, because of hectic business schedules, the husband left Minnesota and flew direct to Florida on the Thursday morning, with his wife flying down the following day.

The husband checked into the hotel and was amazed to find a computer in the hotel room, so he decided to send an email to his beloved back home. However, he accidentally left one letter out of the email address, and without realising his error, send the email none-the-wiser.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned home from her husbands funeral. Her husband had been a minister. He had suffered a heart attack and died. The widow decided to check her emails, expecting to find kind well-wishing messages from her relatives and friends.

    After reading the first email, the widow, screamed, fainted and fell from her chair. The widow's son, who had been in another room, rushed in to tend to his mother, when he discovered the following email;

    To: My Loving Wife.

    Subject: I've Arrived.

    Date: October 7, 2004.

Text: I know that you will probably be surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send email's to your loved ones! I have just arrived and I have checked in. I will ensure that everything is prepared for your arrival tomorrow. I am so looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and I hope your journey was as uneventful as mine...

PS. it sure is freaking hot down here!"

  8. A brilliant idea, however it does involve a lot of dedication and a lot of hard work. Another problem that I encountered is finding, a) decent players who are dedicated, B) a central pitch which suits everybody, c) decent teams to play against, who don't necessarily just want to break your legs or have a Sunday league style punch up!

I won't be available to play, as I run my own club and website, so time is a premium, however I will do as much as possible to help out behind the scenes.

And if all else fails, ...as I have said before...even if we can not get a TT team together, anybody who is any good, is welcome to trial for my club Football Club Speke South Liverpool (FCSSL). For more details, if the TT idea falls down, visit our website, at www.fcssl.com and get in touch with us, alternatively, anybody can email the club at fc.sslwebmaster@googlemail.com

  9. Benitez is one cheeky c*nt. "One of the smaller clubs". Who the f*ck does he think he is? Let me remind him, he did not win yesterday, or infact on their outing across the park at the beginning of the season, and it was not too long ago that they finished lower than us in the league table.

Childish, disrespectful prick! However, what more should we expect from one of the loud mouthed, uneducated retards aka, The Red Sh*te!

Sorry for my rant! Right, everybody have a f*cking nice day!

    :D

  10. As many on this forum know, I'm not usually one for posting warnings about potential scams but I had a VERY close call today.

I walked into B&Q on the Speke Retail Estate today, and some old guy dressed in orange asked me if I wanted decking.

Fortunately, I got the first punch in and that was the end of that. Those less suspecting might not be so lucky.

You have been warning, so be careful out there....

  11. Lack of investments, the human rights act, better investigatory procedures, failing judicial system, high influx of people entering the country, lack of accurate criminal record history of people entering the UK, disbelief of the general public....

    All the problem...

The answer...more prisons, more exportation of foreign criminals (as the US does), more stringent procedure and investigation of those entering the UK, disposal of the Human Rights Act once an offender is convicted of a serious offence, etc,etc,etc...

Just as I see it anyway!
