Man utd!.............probably fair to say are one of best in Europe and will
I think go on to win a treble!!
Yet it took a mistake and an own goal,to get them back into a game against
a team with a few important players out!....look at luckypool today without
their goalkeeper and captain fantastic.....CRAP!(a few crap signings and an
injury to Gerrard next season.....and we'll be above them!)
Another game for Moyes to learn from....and he will!
Should beat Portsmouth........and by the time we play Chelsea, they will
know they can't win the title and will be thinking about a couple of cup
finals.......so a point there's not out of the question.
Get over it BLUES.......Good times ahead!
-
Alan Ball.....red hair,White boots and a BLUE heart!
Great player.....Sadly missed by this club.
RIP Alan....
-
Good luck Blue_Scouser1878 with this project........Like above I'm not a local
so feel it's probably more of an issue to them!
But for what its worth I can only state how I feel.
I live in Kings Lynn Norfolk,so a home games an away game to me,and can
only make 5/6 a season.....if when I arrive in liverpool an extra couple of miles in
a taxi wont really stop me from coming!(unless he's a rs driver!)
I would rather the ground stay just where it is.....I don't really mind the cobble
streets, terraced houses, crowded streets packed with fans, police horse shit,
hot dogs and chips.....in fact I like it!Rather that than some out of town concrete
waistland, where you can shop and maybe get a nice meal!I want to see a football
match with atmosphere....isn't that Goodison!
They say by staying at Goodison were going backwards!.......Well from what I
can see with a small squad, injuries and lost silly points, were still 5th while some
teams with half full new stadiums can only look up at us!....and I can't see by
being there next season anything will change........if teams don't like coming
to Goodison......GOOD!!
BUT if moving is the ONLY way to make us a better team(can't believe it really)
then I'm for it......I guess we belong within the city limits.
Will it help us(the new stadium).....hasn't helped,man city,middlesborough,
Newcastle and a few others!
Might not help luckypool.........no more fortress Anfield...OOOHHhhh that will
hurt!
Sorry Blue_Scouser1878.....told you I couldn't help.
-
Hey JD in JC!.........That's the kinda talk we want!!!!
......."COMPLETELY ELIMINATE PORTSMOUTH"
Hell next year,I can think of a few more teams we could perhaps do
that to!!
AND NO!.....I don't mean luckypool.....we just about did THAT to them this
season!
You know europe would be great......but it aint been a bad season has it!
-
disheartening when we'd built it up (in the same topic) for an absolute away drumming!
Well there's the problem......if you will go expecting us to win 4,5-0...then to lose
is surely a major blow.Myself I think I predicted a hard game that could go either
way......and was hoping for a 1-0(for us!)...So we lost away to a team fighting
for their lives.Where as Man utd got a dubious draw at HOME to a team with
nothing to play for!!Now if we'd lost 1-3 at home to Reading that would be worth
a BIG moan. With no AJ,Cahill,Vaughan and Anichebe a miss firing Beattie and
an underplayed McFadden, then goals will be hard to come by.
Where would Spurs be without Keane....or luckypool without captain fantastic?
Dissapointed YES.........Down hearted NO!

A lot of the time people talked about Yobo..well during the last couple of
seasons, was to highlight a mistake or two.He did make one or two high
profile mistakes....and many myself not included wanted to talk about these
rather than the excellent defender he is.So I guess Yobo's more than happy
at the moment he's not the topic of conversation.
When the incredeble Lescott is allowed to move in full time to his position
in central defence, then what a partnership he and Yobo will make. With
Hibbert back to his best and a'fit' left back plus a great goalkeeper in Howard
then surely that will be some defence.
And I believe with some class players around Yobo, maybe Fernandes in front
of him, then I think we will see an even better Yobo!!
You watch luckypool, with poor old Hypia on his last legs, and with all those
dollars.....looking across the park at our central defenders....and realising that
there are some things money just cant buy!
They might end up spending a fortune and getting a Kroldrup!!!.....That would
be a shame.
Yobo and Lescott........PRICELESS!!!
-
West Hams must win at all costs can make them hard or easy to
play against.......their passion may be hard to combat, they will
throw them selves at every ball!!There by letting their hearts rule
their heads......step forward a cool calculating Moyes!
Can see West Ham making it a physical game, plenty of Everton
free kicks.......Arteta.......to the free scoring Lescott.....GOAL!!
Hard fought points against Man U and Chelsea!
And a home win against Portsmouth......Well you didn't think
there was only one pair of Royal Blue Glasses in the world...
....Did you!
-
How do we break into top four?......by doing what were doing.Slowly building
a team thats very hard to beat.Bringing on good young players and adding
a few more Lescotts and Cahills along the way.Hanging onto Moyes will help.
Some of those crap signings can only have made him better long term!
How many points has captain fantastic won luckypool
this season single handed.....quite a few.If they spend big and get the wrong players
next season and Gerrard misses any decent amounts of games....then there's
our 4th spot!Arsenal could just as easily blow it.As was mentioned in posts
above sure the so called top four need to slip up to help us achieve it....BUT
sure they can.Couple of seasons away from the champions league will
sort out a couple of the big spenders.
-
Will it all boil down to money?......He's getting towards the end of his playing
days!I wonder if a two year contract would make his mind up.Comes across
as a loyal man both to his family and this club....the sort of people this game
could do with a few more of.
If he left us for a three year contract with the likes of Birmingham or Stoke,
over a one year deal hear you could hardly blame him.
Any way I'd hate to travel an hour and a half each way every day to do
something I love......and only take home £10,000 a week!!
Funny old game......int it!
-
I would rather put a hot iron on my face
I'd say about 20-1 against you doing that!!.....
-
Pancake............(sorry stevie)!

Am I right in thinking your American, does the gun culture not scare you, I mean if that hapenend in this country a seriouse inquest would be on where the guy got the gun and ammo.
No mate not American!......Just family links with the place.Spent some happy holidays
with them.My uncle was in the SWAT section in Dallas. He had about 12 hand guns a couple
of shot guns and a rifle. When out he was never without at least one hand gun and one
strapped to his ankle!(a very small hand gun)!
Everyone just accepts the gun culture....a lot dont like it,but they just accept it.
First went out with them in their police cars when I was 15.....and have been a few times since.
Would I let my now 15 year old son go out with my cousin?NOT IN A MILLION YEARS!
Besides my cousin once pulled a young prostitute up!.....she begged him not to take her in!
Really wouldn't want my boy to have to see another one do the same thing to avoid
being run in........HE WOULD WANT TO SEE IT!!
USA CRAZY PLACE......But will add if you can avoid the problems a great place.
-
OK YOU GUYS!!.........Enough already, can you talk about fight club elsewhere!
All these posts are making RAFA look very popular on the introduction board!!
Come on Rafa!.....Your not that good
-
12 posts since the start of 2006 and every one's about how class McFadden is.
Well lets just hope he's on here a lot more then....say in the next few weeks!
Cos crap or not if McFadden can do that sort of thing once or twice in the
coming games....then he'll do for me!.You know some players do take a few
to reach their peaks, beside Moyes will be the ultimate judge of McFadden,
not the fans!If he's good enough for moyes he's good enough for me.
If/when we get into europe were going to need players like McFadden.
-
My uncle is a retired Policeman in Dallas and my cousins a serving policeman
in Fort Worth....Your allowed to go out with them in their police cars!
.............never been so scared in all my life!Guns every where!
-
Well do you want to make easy money?
Just go into Ladbrokes and put £10(or more,if you've got plenty) on
liverpool to win the champions league!!!!!
WOW...KEEP CALM!!......NO I haven't lost the plot!
Yes there a complete bunch of Wan%ers.....Yes there not nice people
like us!.......Yes there the luckiest bunch of tossers to ever cross the
white line!!!!.....and thats my point!.......LUCKY!
OF COURSE THEY WILL SOMEHOW FLUKE THE FRIGGIN THING!!
And at odds of 3-1...(12-1 if Gerrards not playing)...well thats money
in YOUR pocket!!!
SEE EASY MONEY!!!...................................................................
.........................WHAT IF THEY LOSE,I hear you say!
Aaarrrhhh......if they lose......you lose your money,But wont you be a happy!
-
With McFaddens goals, did you notice that very few, maybe only one of them
was a complete hit and hope!
Can think of a few players of the rs who have raked up a list of
wonder strikes......where to be honest it's just head down a hit
it as hard as you can!OK a goal all the same, and it's a shame we
don't have a Gerrard type player to strike them like that.
But my point was/is that McFadden always seems to know where
he's aiming for!.........just a shame he doesn't aim there more often!
-
McFadden's probably not far of a very good player......But he is
a little short of a consistant player!
So far in his Everton career most fans have only ever had him
down as a good squad player.
Problem is whats his best position?Does Moyes know!DoesMcFadden
know!......What style of play suits him best?
What we do know is he seldom scores a tap in!...now add 10 ordinary
goals to your wonder goals James, and give moyesy a headache.
AJ,Vaughan,Anichebe,Beattie,McFadden...All british(Well Anichebe is
really)......Everton showing the way!
-
Hello Rafa!......nice to see you on board.Looking forward to large
amounts of rs bashing from yourself!Sit back and let others have the
strain of running a forum!!
-
No more relegation!!!.......You know I can remember listening to
a certain game....Everton v Wimbledon..(on my little radio) many
years ago now!.....losing 0-2!!!!!!.....Tell you what "No more relegation"
sure has a nice ring to it,at that time!I would have signed up to that!
BUT we survived....and it's games like that that make football what
it is!................"No more relegation"NAH daft idea.....unless of course
your 0-2 down at home in the last game of the season.
-
I can see Moyes giving Beattie a start up front with AJ.He(Moyes)has
shown Beattie by playing the two lads (Vaughan and Anichebe) that
his time could be running out!!.....both injured!Step forward Mr Beattie,
play well score a goal or two while the lads are injured. The gauntlet
has been thrown down.
As for Charlton, things are pretty tight at the bottom....all that extra
money coming next season, dropping out of the prem would be a
disaster,so they will be like Fulham,in that we will need more than
a couple of goals to kill it off!
Lets hope AJ gets his rewards for the mountain of work, that you just
know he will put in.
-
Didn't Wimbledon have an away kit of a dark green a few years back?
From what I remember it didn't look to bad!!
In fact if on bumping into members of the crazy gang ie Vinnie and
fash, and if asked what I thought to the kit!.....I would have answered
very,very nice!!
-
Yeh sure what Moyes does in the summer is crucial! You say we don't want
any more crap signings........when he signed those players(the ones mentioned
above)did moyes know how they would turn out?
Will be the same with who he buys this summer.....could be a Cahill or a Lescott
or maybe a kroldrup/VDM...Nuggent could be crap in the prem. It's a gamble!
What he can do is pre season build team spirit....it's supposed to be good, well
make it even better.
He needs to let a couple go...and certainly buy a few.
Lets be honest. If he gets it right, then fourth is possible.....gets it
wrong, even then no lower than 10th.Bit of a change from the pre
Moyes days!.
-
I've been to far to few games this season to really coment on Neville!
But something that sticks in my mind was the league game at home to
Blackburn.Fairly early on Neville went for a 50/50 with Dunn, there was
no way he was pulling out of that one....the friggin ground shook,he
(Neville)did get slightly injured.......Dunn one of their best players limped
off, never to return. Not too many of our squad would have went for that
ball with the rather weighty Dunn!!He gives 100%,didn't he cross the ball
for that AJ goal at Spurs?
Not the best in the world!.....but then nor are we!.....£3million...Bargin!

Bit worried you know!........Why?
Is it just me......or do others also think that a lot of people seem to think
that a new stadium means success, and that a bigger stadium means the
same?
Wouldn't we have lost yesterday to Man Utd in a new stadium a few miles
down the road?......There were about 39,000 people at the game I guess
37,000 or so Blues and a couple of thousand red!......down the road would
there have been 45,000 Blues??.......maybe an extra couple of thousand red!
We didn't lose because of the amount of fans!they were great as usual....we
didn't lose because we were at Goodison and not a superdome!
NO we lost because our regular goalkeeper was absent(not directly laying blame
at the door of the new lad!).....we lost because we scored an own goal(they happen
but there was chaos in the goal mouth!......)...we lost because a few players had
poor days,most have mentioned Hibbert,I can't comment as I wasn't there.
AND we weren't helped by injuries to key players....ie AJ and Cahill!
So I don't think the location and condition of the stadium played a part in the
defeat!......and that was my point!
I want success, but the fans who believe that a new stadium will bring it quickly
should just be carefull.......YES we probably need to move and i'm sure it will
happen in the next few years....who knows when it does we could be as successfull
as Man City,Newcastle,Middlesborough......oh and Southampton and Sunderland.
OK Bolton have done pretty well just lately......They say the stadium's never full
and with Big Sam leaving and taking his big brown enverlopes.....time will tell.
Next season Everton Will (baring major injuries) finish above all but perhaps
the SO CALLED big 4........playing at Goodison!
You don't lose matches because you don't have nice seats in the big new stands,
you don't lose matches because people have had to push through crowded cobble
sreets and packed turnstyles or because or because Rambo couldn't make the game!
You lose matches because.....you drop the ball....score in your own goal...play badly
......have players injured etc,etc,etc.......
P.S......I'm not saying we don't need to move!
