hopefully manny will be here for the 2nd leg, we're really lacking any creativity in midfield without ossie and pienaar. at least arteta will be back.

When he first came his best position was unknown. he had spells at CM and a RB but neither of them suited him but Since Baines has been out injured and Lescott has moved to left back IMO Jagielka has being absolutely Amazing, was superb Vs Man Utd, But Yesterday against Bolton he was fukin Best player on the pitch by Far, No one got past him, won all the headers and some of the tackles he made were exceptional, If you saw the game you must have saw the best tackle of the game where Anelka was 1 on 1 in the box and Jags does an amazingly perfect tackle from behind and even gets us a goal kick from it!

 

He is great cover for Yobo when he goes to AFrican Nations, and must be challenging Yobo and Lescott for their CB Place, because he has been outstanding lately. Hope his Great form Continues,

agree 100% i think he's been brilliant of late, especially against bolton. i saw the tackle you mentioned close up, and it was outstanding.

Sorry, but after the first 10-15 mins, Moyes got it pretty much spot on. You can't seriously say Moyes cost us the game today.

 

I wouldn't have disagreed with Hibbert's red card, but the fact that the ref was only going to book him until that twat Gerrard came over and offered him a gobble really annoys me. Neville's red card you can't disagree with either - I applaud what he done though, it was worth a try but unfortunately they scored from the pen.

 

Carragher should become a wrestler and have the bearhug as his signature move. Definite penalty at the end. Who does Rafa think he is calling Lescott a diver? When it was clear as day to anyone with even a tenth of a brain that it was a stonewaller.

 

How Kuyt stayed on the field as well is beyond me. Absolutely disgusting attempt at trying to injure someone.

 

Lescott was clear MOTM. Only Everton player I thought was poor today was Jagielka - I hardly even realised he was playing.

 

Didn't deserve to lose and the team deserve credit for the performance IMO.

few things i disagree with here mate

you could say moyes cost us the game, it was a poor team to start with, anichebe should never be paired with yakubu. what did osman do to deserve a recall over pienaar? and i know we probably did well to hold out for as long as we did with 10 men but only an idiot would pick hibbert for the derby. and he should have brought on pienaar to add a bit of creativity, he seems incapable of making a bold move. why did mcfadden have to wait until 75 mins+ until he came on? getting sick of moyes' lack of substitutions.

totally agree about kuyt, carragher and gerrard, dirty cheating bastards all of them. add finnan to that list too.

agree that lescott was MOM too, though he did let gerrard go for the first pen (although he couldnt be blamed for thinking that hibbert was going to head it away).

jagielka was total shite today, seems totally fucked after half time, if not before. but when hibbert played you cant say he was the only one. there was one incident when benayoun beat him easily about 3 times, that was about 2 mins in. he should never wear the shirt again, he has been disgrace all season.

It will be hoofball weather neville plays center mid or rightback.

His team mates put the effort in and he finishes it of with goals a plenty.

We have a very good chance if we get a team looking like that out imo

as if moyes will ever drop neville for the derby. he'll play him simply because the liverpool fans hate him so much. i'd play neville RB and stubbs instead of yobo CB, he's safer atm imo, yobo has been playing poorly. yakubu might work well up front on his own, but anichebe and yak would never work.

yakubu isnt scoring because he is being used in the wrong way. moyes simply isnt using him in the way he was used at middlesbrough

osman is just dire, i cant believe moyes even brings him on unless its an emergency. i only listened to the commentry too but it did sound like pienaar was lively and creative, and osman is neither, he doesnt even have any pace to speak of. and it was his poor header that emre scored off (good finish ino but got to blame someone).

btw what was moyes on about when he said that we deserved more? no, we didnt. we didnt play that bad but they were by far the better team, he always makes these pointless and untrue comments after the game, it is so annoying, if it wasnt for his poor substitutions then we may have got something from it. what is the point in bringing yakubu on with 91 mins played?

anichebe is most definately a sub for now, best when brought on for the last 20 mins or so, dont think he's up to starting big games yet. obv our line up would look a lot different if we had cahill, vaughan and aj fit but its unlikely we'll have any of them so i reckon the above is our best bet.

yeah we are looking way too primitive this year, arent creating enough and our defence is looking so week, i thought it was gonna be better this year but its got way worse somehow. and moyes will probably buy another defensive midfielder as cover for neville or some shit like that. tbh theres only a couple of players at the moment who i wouldnt want replacing.

the only way you can be a sucess as a defender with no passing ability is if you're a centre half. if you play at RB you need to be able to pass. sorry hibbert isnt good enough, he can tackle but cant do anything else. we need a new right back really, neville is the best we have there but its not saying much
