No doubt i'd love to see another class midfielder, but under the circumstances we're in, another midfielder is the least of our worries right now. I'd be more than happy if we could sign this guy under other circumstances. But what i don't understand is if we can splash the cash like this (if this is really true) then why are we not spending 10mil on an AMAZING striker?!?! Midfield is our strongest area right now and with the impending arrival of Baines our defense should be complete. Nothing against the player because he's an absolute wonder, but our money is in the wrong place right now! And why was this money not there when we were bidding for smith?!?!

4mil plus Carsley seems like the most popular bid. Carsley is getting old so if this deal puts him at the value of 2mil then thats pretty good

every time i find ourselves linked with a new player i promptly look them up on wikipedia (because wikipedia is simply the best) and check out some videos on youtube. from what i can tell, braaten is very clever with the ball, does some unexpected/odd but very useful things on the field, and looks to be pretty quick. does seem to get fouled a lot though (or at least he appears to get fouled a lot). see his so called "seal dribble" it's pretty clever.

I live out here and if anyone happens to know where they'll be training, I'd be more than happy to oblige and head down there to watch training and even supply a few pictures if possible. Please help (lol), cause seeing as I live oh so far away from the amazing Goodison Park, this is definitely my only chance to see our beloved Toffees in real life this year.
