  1. Well we're certainly not dominating. With the team we've put out I just feel we should be playing some better football. Yakubu's barely had a touch past half. If we're just going to punt it I'd rather see Vic in there.

  2. Well they're getting off a few more shots then I'd like. No real glow to the game yet, but unlucky not to have gotten off the mark in the first minute there. Need to start playing it through the midfield properly.

  3. Right, didn't mean to have him out there, meant for him inside.

Don't disagree about not needing Carsely in there but I can't see Moyes thinking the same. I think Moyes likes having Graveson in there to keep things tidy so I'd imagine either Pienaar or Osman will have a rest.

  4. I suspect this is what we might see

    ........................Howard............................

    Neville.......Yobo.......Stubbs........Lescott

    Arteta........Osman....Carsely...Graveson

    .........................Cahill........................

    ........................Yakattack...................

If Arteta isn't fit I suspect Pienaar will slot in

Probably have Anichebe, McFadden, Hibbert, Vaughan, and Wessels on the bench.

    2-0 Us

    Osman and Graveson

  5. From BBC

"BBC Radio 5 Live summariser David Pleat is getting excited by the 'Luton Roar'. It's a bit like the 'Hampden Roar' apparently. Whatever, Hatters fans do have something to get excited about as Everton are simply appaling so far."

    Great.

  6. I don't think the game is being shown live on any satellite channel so I don't think there are any streams, I've been looking. Not sounding to good though from what I'm reading :(

  7. Actually think Pienaar's had a couple of decent moments, slipped Cahil in nicely when McFadden fanned from the 6.

Overall nothing doing really, bit of a snoozer. Was quite nervous at the start but Larissa don't seem to have come to play (knock on wood). Maybe Gravo in for Cahil at 60 and the Yak to relieve McFadden. Hopefully the wingers can start making some runs. This over the top garbage is just not working (not that anyone really thought it would with McFadden alone up top...)

  8. Well I get to spend my day at a real estate closing. There's a slight chance I'll make it out by the 2 pm (ChicagoTime) kick off, otherwise it'll be sporadic updates from unreliable accomplices.

  9. Just watching the Chelsea Valencia game and noticed Manny not in the squad, so I popped over to Wikipedia just to see what's going on and stumbled onto this gem.

Fernandes moved to Valencia CF in August 2007 for a fee of £12 million on a six year deal with a 60 million euro get out clause.[9][10] The move astonished Everton officals as Fernandes had verbally agreed to join Everton, and was even watching their match with Blackburn Rovers from the stands on 25 August.[11] He made his début as a substitution during a 2-1 away win against UD Almería on 2 September 2007. Since then however, Fernandes has been rumoured to be unsettled at the Mestalla club, having made few starts for Valencia and being mainly used as a substitute.

Doesn't like it in spain eh :(

    Isn't that just too bad?

  10. Stevie P has been reading our posts and figured out what we need to do to score:

    From the BlueKipper

Steven says: "I think that all our strikers want to score goals because we haven't scored many goals in a few games. For us to get three goals away was good for confidence and I think that the guys deserved the goals. I think it's a boost we needed and I hope we carry on from here and take the last 20 minutes into Sunday's match. If we keep the ball it's the only way we can create chances. If you look at the three goals at Sheffield that's how they came, by keeping the ball."

    Sounds about right.

  11. Looks like AVM is at least in the squad for this one.

    BBC

Everton (from): Wessels, Hibbert, Stubbs, Lescott, Yobo, Baines, Valente, Pienaar, Arteta, Carsley, Neville, Jagielka, Osman, Johnson, McFadden, Yakubu, Anichebe, Ruddy, Vidarsson, Van der Meyde.

Apparently Johnson is a doubt with a groin problem. Can't see it being other than Mc and Yak up top. Arteta could well be back, so him Jags, Osman and Pienaar in the middle really wouldn't be the worst.

  12. You can get the links for sopcast, tvants, ppmate etc at www.fsicrew.info

I'm not positive if you have to sign up for a username or not but it's free in any case, no ads or shite, it's all user supported and I use it all the time to do 'research' here at work.

I'm seeing 2-1, not sure to who though, Rooney won't play but Ronaldo will play well I fear, maybe Arteta's frees will start to shape up and we'll grab something from there.
