  1. 52 points is a bit harsh on the Fijians I reckon. They showed England exactly how it should be done. Get in amongst em and put the hits in. If I'm dead honest, on the last couple performances I would even put Fiji to beat England!!!! Definite 3rd best team in the comp.
  2. Some more club before country rubbish... SSN reckons he's out for between 7-10 days with a torn abductor magnus muscle, meaning he is doubtful for the Fulham game and Champions League game. Yer, alright then! Guarantee he's fit for then, just fancies a week off.
  3. I'm really tempted to put Yakubu to see what happens....
  4. Not too happy about the result, as I thought for all the pressure we had we didn't create massive ammounts of chances. Think we got an improved performance, which is what everyone has been going on about. So which would you prefer now... Play shit, and get 3 points OR play 'well' and not win? Thought Yak did ok. Linked the play up well, but again we didn't provide him with many opportunities. Fellani looks to be getting better, although 2nd half he did fade. JV defo looked pissed off to only get a few minutes at the end. I actually rate all 4 of our strikers, and hope we manage to keep all of them, and get them all scoring!
  5. Great save by Howard, and good work from Jags to follow the ball in otherwise we were well and truly fooked!
  6. Geddin there! 'Feed his back and we will score!'
  7. For fook's sake! It's been all us, with a couple of opportunities on the break for them! We need to get these drilled!
  8. Absolute bollocks! Half the pricks on the pitch tonight couldn't catch and run. Again the Kiwis didn't have to play well to beat us. Can moan about some of the appalling ref decisions, but at the end of the day he didn't drop the ball, miss tackles etc... Only positive I can take from it is that its over, and we're not going to get embarassed by the Kangaroos next week.
  9. Course not! I won't be happy unless you get your arse handed to you on a plate if I'm honest. Was full of so much optimism before the last couple of results... Lets wait and see what happens!
  10. Anyone in general... or anyone off here? A couple of my mates have been over for a few weeks to watch a few games, and another couple of lads have headed over this week for the semi and final. Fingers are still crossed for a decent performance and match on Saturday.
  11. GB can perform in 1 off games against the Kangaroos, but struggle to maintain the pressure over a full series. I'm hoping above all hope that England are saving that 1 one performance for the final, as long as we can scrape past the Kiwis at the weekend. Unfortunately though, based on the performances of the last few weeks I really can't see it happening! What would be nice is to see the Aussies really tested, rather than coasting through in some dog turd game, which does nothing for the sport or the spectacle at all!
  12. I'm in the middle of writing a strongly worded letter to the FA to ask that we have the last 3 wins removed from the record and the points handed over to the opposition!!! That should be enough then for people to really have a whinge, because we'll be where we deserve to be then!!! Come on lads. We've played shit, beat West Ham and scored 3 in the process. How many of the Shite fans were kicking off when they were getting all the luck early doors! I honestly believe that confidence is a big ingredient in a teams performance. We were low on confidence and as a consequence we were getting bummed left right and centre. We've grabbed a few wins, confidence should be on the rise, and so hopefully will our performances!
  13. Good piece that! He is a horrible twat, and a proper cheat to boot. He's the way he is though because he's been allowed to get away with, and in the eyes of some he can't do any wrong!!!! I agree.... show his playdough face some studs!!! lmao
  14. That's generally the attitude I found when I was over there... No one gave a rats ass about football (soccerball) untilthe aussies beat England, and then all of a sudden everyone was a bleedin expert!!!! Shame really...
  15. Got beat by France last week and got a tough game against Fiji coming up.
  16. I was appalled by the efforts of the England team to be honest. Australia played well, but really weren't the world beaters that the media were bleating on about. They didn't have to be... and that in itself is abit worrying, because they will can better if they are forced. England just didn't play the game enough in the ozzie half, and gave away stupid penalties. Pisses me off because I had to put up with all this crap about how bad England were at sport in general when I was travelling over there in 2000, and when Aus beat England in the footy!!!!
  17. I thought we played really well in patches, with some good movement off the ball and fullbacks linking in with the attack. Thought Pienaar and Neville worked particularly well today. Similar to the Bolton game in some ways. Some nice stuff and then the final ball letting us down. Fellaini was very very good (didn't understand why he was subbed), but mom for me was Neville or Jags.
  18. Some nice stuff going forward. Good overlapping play from Neville. Fellaini involved a lot, and looking very good. Managed to stop any real meaningful threat on goal. It's just all a bit pedestrian though. Lets get in amongst em 2nd half!!!!

    Bolton (away)

Games against Bolton are always crap and horrible. Granted it's about the level of our season so far... But stuff it, we won AND kept a clean sheet!!!
  20. Could be coincidence..... But I'm sure Joe Kinnear is available at the end of the month!

    Man Utd (home)

I honestly don't think there was anything wrong with the Neville challenge on Ronaldo. Took the ball cleanly in my opinion. It was only the little shit's discgraceful reaction that got him booked. Ferdinand should've been carded for running in from 50yards away. Rooney again showing his complete lack of intelligence. What a muppet. Shame Ferguson dragged him. Think it would have nice for him to commemorate his return with another red card. BEAUT. Onwards and upwards (hopefully) now blues!!!!
  22. Sky Sports site reckons Redknapp has said he's off! Bad move for him I think. Almost as much of a poisoned chalice as the Newcastler job, and he's worked stupidly hard to get Portsmouth in the position they are in.
  23. When I was a kid we used to go to Colliers, opposite TJ's, to get some decent gear. Used to be £5 for shirts, £5 for shorts and £2 for socks. Bought loads of stuff from there and not Everton gear. I remember a couple of Wales shirts, few Scotland kits (purple and red flashes on white shirt), Derby county and a few Italian club shirts. I was gutted when Colliers moved a bit more up market!
  24. Not Parkes. Did say he was a bit surprised that Gosling hadn't broken into it. Think he's played a few more games with Gosling than Rodwell, as Rodwell is playing an age group up, so that probably explains why he's more surprised about Gosling than Rodwell.
  25. A lad who I taught down here, plays for Leicester and England u19, reckons he'll be one to watch definitely. His main reason for thinking that though is the fact that he is getting into first ahead of Gosling, who apparently is awesome. Lad I was talking to really seemed surprised that Gosling wasn't getting near our first team.
