  1. marcopaulo was the first person to get this one right so he earns some valuable points. The answer to my question was indeed Dwight Yorke who managed to score 123 goals for Aston Villa, Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers, Birmingham City and Sunderland and as he comes from a lovely part of the world called Trinidad & Tobago (Africa) it means that he qualifies for my question.

Which part of Africa is Trinidad and Tobago in?

    Just askin? lol

  2. Difficult choice.

Fellaini absolutely ran the show. We did well to tie the big lad down to a long term contract.

Il Traca (aka 'The Count')- This fella has been quality for us since he started to get up to speed (aka get game time) with the Prem. Like a rich mans version of Andy Carroll. Made up he got his first goal, and was at the heart of the effort to unsettle Chelsea all day long.

Pienaar- How I've missed you. You should never have left. The impact he has had on our performances since rejoining has been immeasurable, and today was no different.

  3. It has been so frustrating seeing Heitinga getting pushed from pillar to post in terms of playing position.

He has always been a quality centreback and nothing more than a stop gap in midfield, similar to what was happening with Jags when he first arrived.

Made up with the result today. The City and Chelsea games have shown everything that has been good about us for the last couple of years.

  4. Unfortunately keepers tend not to mature until later on in their careers and go on for a lot longer in their careers to, so younger lads are always going to be at a disadvantage.

Neither Wessels or Mucha are/were shite. Both came with decent CV's (international/European experience). We just happen to have have some good 1st choice keepers meaning chances will always be limited.

I recall people moaning about Ruddy and Turner, neither were good enough, no confidence etc. Fine Ruddy has gone on to have a decent season for Norwich, but was he good enough to dislodge Howard at the time?

Anyway.... back on topic. Good luck to Silva if he moves, decent potential but obviously viewed as not good enough fro us in the end.

  5. On the issue of tickets, I see a few problems with the process...

    1. You can't buy tickets if you have never bought from them before.

    2. How do you buy a ticket, if they won't sell to you because you've never bought a ticket before.

Other than that, I think it works. doh.gif

  6. Stracqualursi for me. Ran his tail off all game, unlucky not to get a goal, cracking hold up play with some nice little neat touches in open play too. Hoping he can really push on from this, because he has the potential to be a cult figure for us.

Thought Johnny was great again too, and just looks to be getting better and better with a run of games.

Felt sorry for Duffy, but the call to put Hibbo in paid off. Had an absolute blinder and for the most part Dzeko was in his pocket.

Lots of positive performances from everyone, and I am praying that we can now continue this little bit of a mini run we've managed to go on. Bit later that we normally start our season this year.

  7. Felli, same as everbody else.

Good assists by Donovan, and although a few are saying Neville was wasteful I thought for the most part he actually linked up fairly well with Donovan and looked to try and get forward a lot more.

Gibson for the most part was tidy, and again showed some decent touches.

Made up that El Traca got his goal too... although he got a bit excited after that and thought he could score from everywhere.

  8. Been impressed by Price for a while now. Unfortunately last night was a bit of a let down, and other than winning the title I don't think a lot was gained from it. Mcdermott looked fat, out of condition and not particularly arsed after the first knockdown.

The Fury fight will happen soon I think. As Price said, Fury is a fighting man and will take the challenge. Price will win and hopefully go on to do some damage on the World level.

  9. Can't remember being more relieved about a goal and scorer for a long time.

Made up for TC and hopefully the start of him playing with some confidence.

    It was handball... Nevermind!

Still a bit frustrating with team selection and set up for today.

  10. I normally like our 3rd kits, and have bought a fair few in the past.

To be fair probably bought more of the Away and 3rd shirts than home.

If it is Nike, my only concern would be that it would be some generic shite that they offer to all park teams in different colours. £17.99 for your team but £45 for EFC fans.
