  1. Heitinga was solid throughout, and easily the best defender at the club.

Neville did a good job at right back, and genuinely looked on it.

Decent debut for Duffy, and I just hope that we don't go on to see Hibbo/Neville at centreback over the next couple of weeks.

Drenthe was lively when he came on and needs to see more game time.

For me Bily showed a few nice touches during the first half, and should have stayed on the pitch with Cahill making way in my opinion.

  2. Just been watching SSN, and can't believe the footage their showing from the Khan-Petersen fight.

For anyone that hasn't seen it, there's some random fat guy sat in one of the judges seats at the start of the fight. He's asked to move and then sits next to De la Hoya and Khan's dad, only to start talking to the judges and looking at score cards etc during the fight.

Khan is appealing to I think its WBA (don't know what the Baggies will do though) as he reckons the scorecards have been tampered with following the ring announcer telling him he was ahead on 2 cards before they were recollected in.

Someone is going to get into a heap load of shit for this I feel.

  3. Distin followed by Heitinga for me.

Really felt for Baines today. Don't think he's low on confidence, just extremely pissed off at running himself into the floor every single game and no bugger getting on the end of some of the runs he makes. A few passes to him today were shite which eventually led to frustration and the booking.

  5. I don't remember wanting a player to be a success more than Bily. There was something about him that just cried out that he was a quality player, but something just didn't click consistently for him.

Any idea how much we're meant to be getting for him?

Best of luck Bily, your goals will always be a Youtube staple!

  6. A bloke who I work with is a season ticket holder at Villa, and he described him as 'a complete lunatic' and 'not a footballer, just a thug'.

He was awesome a few years back. Not seen him play for a while, but if that's what happens playing in Tottenhams reserves for 12 mths, I don't want Pienaar coming back here! lol

  7. Felli- For all the reasons everybody else has already stated followed closely by...

Drenthe- Who frightens the living daylights out of opposition defenders. Every time he gets on the ball, I expect something to happen.

Most pleasing..... THE CLEAN SHEET! Nice to see Heitinga getting a good run of games along with (dare I say it) Hibbo!
