    Does anyone know what time the club works within? I mean, the transfer window is open 24 hours a day but surely Moyes has to go home and everything so he can't be doing transfers all day every day. I've been spending the best part of tonight looking for Jelavic news to see if his signed but is it a good possibility that serious talks will only begin tomorrow? 11:00 might be past Davey's bedtime.

    I dunno why everyone is going on about having 7 defenders on the pitch and letting in 3 goals. A defender will only defend properly if they are playing in their preferred position ie DEFENSE!

     

    On a plus side - we scored 2 great goals with 7 defenders on the pitch! :D

    It's what Everton is all about! You can read the posts and feel the passion - its just people reacting in different ways, but thats why i love reading all the posts on here

     

     

    If anyones watching the Liverpool game on 5 at the moment - they look shite. Unite and rejoice!!

     

    If we dont get ANYONE in before the deadline we'll have to muscle our way through to January in mid-table obscurity and then sign some class-acts in the window.

    Actually, benfica did want him to stay, he just didn't want to stay at benfica. Can't say I blame him, and that's not just cuz im from Sporting. benfica has pretty much changed their whole squad every year for the last 5 years, always claming that this year is the one, and they've always failed. This year, they aren't even going to the CL. so MF did the smart thing and left.

     

    Nut you're right, he is too flamboyant, too many neat tricks and not enough consistency. But if he settles down and focuses more on results than show, he can be a lethal player. i see him as a R7 wannabe, but ronaldo transpires class. Manel is gifted, but he has to learn his limitations.

     

    Don't you mean Spurs.....? ;)

    I reckon Johnson's on his way, but I'ld give him another season. If he gets a good start and a couple of goals under his belt early on then he might hit form again. He's got the potential, his workrate is phenomenal and if he's been playing keepie-uppies with Yakubu in the closed season then they might just hit it off (not in the changing rooms though)
