  1. Moyes got us from relegation fighter's into European Cup Challengers. As a club we owe a lot to David Moyes. He's brought in small players (at the time) like Tim Cahill and Joleon Lescott who have turned out to be some of our best players. Take Mikel Arteta, not many of use had even heard of him nevermind seen him play, we sign him for pennies and all of a sudden he's our best player and the whole fanbase love him.

Moyes has done well in the Transfer Market. Finding gems from the lower leagues and making them into class Premiership players. He's managed to move us foreward each season, I can't think of many bad signings he's made. Valente, Baines, Howard, Jagielka, Yobo, Neville. They've all been good players for us and it was Moyes that spotted them.

If we think about all the success that Moyes has had in the Transfer Market then I see no reason why Louis Saha can't be another excellent signing, along with Jacobsen and Castello. I know we all have our opinions and some people just don't like Saha, I didn't like Neville when he first came and now I think he's an excellent captain, but I know some people think that Neville is a joke. I'm just saying that we are all entitled to our opinion, but as we haven't seen Saha in an Everton shirt yet we should look at Moyes Transfer Record and think positive.

well said. moyes has done wonders for the club, and hopefully can bring even more over the next few years

  2. i can see where youre coming from, and yes it has been a hard summer. but the past week we've won our first game of the season, signed some players, and it seems we will get a few more as well. so i dont think the future of everton is not all that bad, who knows the boys might end up surprising us by the end of the season :D

  3. The Obinna lad may end up on the wing, right wing perhaps to let Arteta drift into centre mid. Also Baxter has been used on left wing so Vaughan & Cheebs will still be in contention. Besides this is a good situation to be in as a player, fighting for a place.

yeahh thats true i guess. well i suppose then we should definately get him on board asap

  4. ok. i would like obinna to be in the squad, but at the same time i have a feeling this wont go down well in terms of places in the first team when it comes to strikers. atm we have 4 strikers who have all had first team experience, and 2 more in lukas and agard who are yet to break into the first team. its no secret moyes only likes 1 striker up front, my worry is no doubt itll always be the yak if hes fit, but what happens to the other lads? id hate to see somebody like vaughany or victor leaving due to lack of places in the first team, its what has happened to AJ and faddy, and i dont really want to see any more of our good strikers leaving

  5. id assume with neville and hibbo out our lineup might look something like this:

    --------------------HOWARD----------------------

    --JACOBSEN---YOBO----LESCOTT---BAINES--

    --------------------JAGIELKA---------------------

    -----OSMAN-------RODWELL--------ARTETA----

    --------------------VAUGHAN---------------------

    ---------------------YAKUBU----------------------

    Bench:

    Valente

    Baxter

    Turner

Anichebe (if he's back and playing)

    Gosling

    Wallace

    Irving

hopefully some new signings by the end of the week might feature as well...

  6. im still questioning whether he will come or not. im obviously hopeful we can sign him, but at the same time rennes will probably end up hanging on to him.

what really pissed me off today was seeing blackburn have signed vince grella, australian defensive mid signed from fc torino. now i know i probably sound extremely bias being an aussie myself, but i would have loved to have grella play for everton, considering he is fantastic at both club level and is a very important part of the socceroos squad. and for 4 million pounds i dont see why we probably havent even considered him......

  7. they do say you should never go back. Everton have consistently performed better than City for a good few seasons now, we have a good manager, a good balance and a good team. He may also like the idea of coming here on loan in an attempt to impress Scolari so he can stay at Chelsea. Who knows, but I think he'd be a good signing and Everton need to pull their finger out. This one signing would at least generate some excitement and make a bit of a statement of intent.

couldnt have said it better. i dont understand why he would choose city over us, we have done better than them for years now, most notably last year in doing the double over them. he would know that as well considering hes already spent 6 years at city, and might perhaps be looking for a new challenge at a new club. i guess it all has to be money at the end of the day, and hopefully we can give him what he wants.....

this might also be true as well, i think everybody would remember moyes saying not so long ago that he would be looking to buy british, so wright-phillips might be the first of a few english players to come to everton

  8. we should sign mark milligan, an aussie from the a league... hes not overly good but seeing as it doesnt seem were willing to spend any money hes worth a shot as hes available on a free transfer, has been linked with arsenal and city in the past and captained australia at the olympics

i know as an aussie i should be backing one of my own, but milligan? gonna have to say no to that. i just feel he doesnt have the experience nor the skill level to play for us, definately a great player back here in australia but not in the english premier league =[

  9. About 4 paragraphs down:-

Or the one of the Everton, that Martinez paid to 6 million by Javi. The forward donostiarra did not have the “label” of intransferable and, when the “check” arrived from vermilions, the operation activated after consulting to the technical body."

    Fairly incoherant.

haha martinez paying us 6 million to play for everton!! he must really want to be a blue :P:P:P
