Never really understood the nature of having a DOF. From what I gather their job is to be the link between the manager and the board, and as well in City's case acting as a manager by bringing players in. Apart from the City example should the interaction being these two parties be part of the manager's job? Back on topic - I expect Fernandinho to flop.

Watched Honda the other night against Australia and TBH it was him and Kagawa pretty much doing it all on their own. Quite honestly wouldn't mind him here as every time I've seen him he's been decent.

Don't watch much of the A-League here but I knew he played regularly for local side Sydney FC. Not sure how he'll go at Parma.

In all honest despite him leaving Wigan, who's to say he won't turn us down too? Look at Villa and Liverpool - so therefore he could be holding out for the Malaga job.
