  1. Geeze, what I am saying is when you are on 40k a week and your fellow internationals are on over double that wouldn't you feel inferior and be tempted to double your money?

Not every player is money crazy, let's be honest the reason why the players you have signed is for one reason, MONEY; no other reason FACT. They can come out and say they want to win things, bollocks, they want more cash. Look at the players you tried to sign, Kaka and Eto'o both went 'get stuffed we'd rather play for a proper team', hopefully Lescott will do the same and stay here

  2. Johnson comes into it as a comparative sale, we don't HAVE to sell Lescott, so unless you match our valuation then it's going to be tough. Lescott is one of the best centre backs in the country and also one of the best left backs, by that reasoning I don't see how a valuation of £20m is inflated? He would give you cover for 2 positions and would be the best defender in your team in both. The fact is we know how much money you have, everyone knows your defence is weak and you are desperate to strengthen, we all know Hughes is out of a job if you don't start well so Hughes isn't going to be too concerned whether he spends £20m or £24m, I think the only worry as far as Hughes is concerned is giving Moyes too much money to make us even stronger as you're already playing catch up. To say Lescott is angling for a move is just pie in the sky rubbish at this moment in time and as I said, Moyes won't give a toss what Lescott wants - he only sells players if he wants to, bottom line.

Hear hear or is it here here. Who knows, but well said

  3. Bellamy even? :)

What sparks such hatred of Craig Bellamy lol? Just because he played for Liverpool? :P

Never liked him, remember when he was at Norwich when he was 17, gobby little shit then. When we were linked a couple of years back i was gutted.

Yeah, i know i spelt it wrong, but as he's an arse i don't care

  4. I fail to see how Johnson comes into this. The reason that price was so high was the result of a bidding war. £20m is already well over the odds for Lescott and I don't think any other clubs would match that right now. The fact that City will simply move on to another target (as several deals are already in the works) if this deal does not go through means that the value of this deal will not go any higher leaving Moyes/Everton at a point to explore their options to see what deals they can get and use this to their advantage. £20m is silly money for a defender and with Lescott angling towards a double-your-money move then this does not put Everton in a very strong bargaining position so I would not expect Moyes to be able to push the price up to what you say. But we have just lent you Jo for another season, I cannot see us letting this happen unless a lot of terms have already been agreed with the Lescott deal.

Maybe, or maybe Jo kicked off andwanted to come back, afer all you do have loads of forwards.

  5. there was a guy on citytalk before, made a lot of sense.

lescott is probably looking at city moving forward and getting interested, arteta has been asking for players to come in, how long until the players feel like us and want to get off, and worse, how long until moyes does?

i've not lost the will to live, but looking at this http://www.evertonfc.com/match/everton-squad.html gets me close

    Me too

  6. It's going to be the same as last year, a f??@ing let down. Cana will go to the shite if they sell alonso and Delph will go to villa. To attract players we need to have the money to pay the wages. DM is doing a fantastic job, in terms of money available he's doing better than the teams above us, he looks for young talent and won't spend cash willy nilly, but i sometimes think he has to. Another half a mill could have got us Naughton. From some where a ultra rich guy has got to come along and invest cash, otherwise we'll keep slipping down the league more and more as more billionaires buy the rest of the clubs.

What I can't understand is why would someone buy pompey and nots us, baffles me that one. If we keep selling our best then we are nothing but a west ham, and i personally don't want that. Everton Football Club is one of the most famous, well supported and decent club in the world and it's about time someone put us back where we belong.

    Rant over.

  7. Didn't someone work it out last year, we sold AJ and McFadden, this cash bought Fellaini. All the others were loans or free, in other words DM didn't get a penny out of the club other than from players sold. I don't think this is the way forward, although our league position says different, the board should give him some extra cash to fight the likes of Arsenal and Villa in the meantime and then in a few years start on the rest. If we get a little extra cash we are a top 4 club, year in year out with Dave in charge.
