  1. He might not be good enough to get into the Spain team, I myself don't think that he will get a cap because of the players that you have mentioned there. What I was trying to say was that with Arsenal he has a much better chance to get into the squad because with Champions League games generally comes caps due to being noticed on a European scale. Champions League football was something which was unfortunatly very breif at Everton.

  2. Also another reason which I'd forgot about as to why he would want to move. Being from Spain it is obviously his ambition to play for the Spanish team. He simply isn't going to get that at Everton because he has tried and failed for the past 5 years or so that he has been here. His service here has been good, and even though he went 'missing' last season he still made up for it with all the outstanding goals/assists/moves that he made on the pitch in the other games.

He is class and always will be, I wish him the best at Arsenal. Hope to see him scoring at the weekend.

  3. Good luck on the bench Mikkel. And enjoy the pay cut. You got lucky a lot of the time. Not hard to score a penalty. Remember last year when you went missing for long periods at the start of the season and the season before. Good riddance.

What a bellend of a post that was.

Mikel will be missed and if I was in his situation then I would have done the same. He's going to be given Champions League (maybe Europa the way this season is going so far) and a chance at winning the Premiership in a team that is known for being one of the best in the country. Even though he is under fire at the moment there is no doubt the skill and wisdom that Wenger has and this will only benefit the player himself.

I think we should be thankful for what he has done at this club because he's done an awful lot.

And just to add, it's not hard to score from 12 yars no, but when you're doing it in front of 40,000 people in the last minute of the game knowing how much the goal would mean to your team, fans and family then I think it would become a lot harder. Give the man a break for fucks sake its not like he's done a Nick Barmby.

Still a legend, good luck at Arsenal.

    Follow, follow, follow....

  4. I'll support Everton through thick and thin but in times like these it is so hard. I mean when will we sign players ffs? Teams like Bolton and Stoke can do it who are around our level (if not worse!) and we can't. It's just a joke, and I expect January to be worse.

    Jags to Arsenal.

    Baines to Man City.

    It's just heart-breaking.

  5. It's going to sound silly saying this but we won against Sheffield United because we had some shots on goal - something we didn't do against QPR. I coulden't care less if we have about 80 shots on goal and only 10 of them end up on target. The game against QPR saw us playing out to the wide men when there was literally no need so I'm pleased to see (from the highlights) some of the lads having a go - mainly Osman.

Hopefully we can build on this :)

  6. Not going to the Sheffield United game, why should I based on the performance yesterday?

I'll keep optemistic though, that's the only way to be ahead of a football match I guess.

2-0 to Everton; Vellios & Barkley to score.

  7. Moyes admitted his side didn't do enough to win - but still felt they were unfortunate to not claim a draw.

^Hate if when Moyes comes out with this sort of bullshit, we didn't deserve to draw at all we deserved to be beaten and beaten we were.

We have so many problems its embarrassing and what worries me is that we can't even beat a poor QPR side at home, I thought that this season would be easier for us seeing as our first two games were against QPR and Sheffield so we could have two wins under our belt and get momentum early. As it happens I'm not that optemistic about the Carling Cup tie now.

    Just a few points I remember that pissed me off;

Why does Arteta think he's the best free-kick taker/corner kick taker when he can't get it over the wall and can't get it past the first man from a corner. I remember one time it was actually Barkley who took a corner for us and did much better. Similarly Baines smashes the bar and could have put us 1-0 and gets a free-kick in almost the same place at the other end of the field and gets told to just 'stand over it'

Cahill seems to think that because he was arguably our best player that he still is where in fact he is part of the deadwood that we could probably cash in. He was appalling today in every single way and didn't add a single thing to the team. His miss from about 0.1232432 yards out was unforgivable considering that Paddy Kenny was miles away. If a professional football can't head a ball into an empty net then he shoulden't be on the field.

And probably the thing the thing that pisses me off the most is that Moyes has no ambition. Playing 4-5-1 against QPR is shocking. After getting bounced against Bolton (who are equally as shit) then they would have been easy targets for a 5-0/6-0 win for us, yet we played Beckford up front on his own and don't even give him the ball. We go 1-0 and take him off....

We should start playing 4-4-2 as Beckford is only effective if he has someone to work with, the number of times that someone would make a brilliant run towards the box and then turn around to find a pass was embarrasing. Osman/Cahill/Arteta all had chances to put in a shot but instead passed out to the wings for no fucking reason and this was a tactic that QPR quickly got used to.

    Shameful.

New players is the key, not only to freshen up the team but to give the players like Cahill and Arteta a kick up the arse.]

Also top debut from Barkley, impressed by him a lot.
