  1. Don't kid yourself. We could do everything for him but it won't matter.

It's like the bloke who will buy the Mercedes despite knowing that the Ford drives better... it's all about prestige - nothing else.

A win against the Sh!te and then against ManUre, and every Evertonian around the world would be buzzing. I said 'if' we win both; a tall order.

It will be a massive lift given the injuries to Seamus and the like. Sets us on our way to European football, and with two years left on his contract, we will squeeze another season out of him.

This time next year, if we are not in the top four, I'll expect him gone.

  2. With the injuries picked up so far, it's now down to Koeman earning his dough. Of the team that's been playing well for us the last few games, we have 2 + 1 key players out.

Makes squad selection, formation and tactics all the more important. I think it'll be purely up to how the manager "manages" the game.

  3. In my opinion, Bill needs to follow Roberto out the door. Personally, no one can fault Bill's heart for the club. I don't think anyone can fault Roberto's good intentions either nor his charisma. BUT... We have too much heart and charisma. Really, to get anywhere we need to be a bit more ruthless and down to business. I think Roberto is not feeling any pressure from the top. I think he feels he has the complete backing from Bill - and I can't see Bill doing otherwise. The fans may scream all they want, but if the board is all "It's okay... Uncle Bill understands and supports you" then there's no urgency to change or do things differently. I wonder though, will it change the people's club? How would EitC fare?

  4. I think the board are going to let him stay till the end of the season. We 'should' not be in any danger of relegation, and Morshiri means we don't have to rely on league place for transfer funds. So it's already broken, don't waste money on buy out fees, or upset the status quo by bringing in a new manager. They might be thinking, if RM goes, so does a lot of his back-room staff, so rather than cause upheaval, wait for the end of the season and then make a change. Meanwhile, I would expect they are consulting, interviewing and vetting a replacement to be announced once the season is over.
