I can only see benefits from Darren Bent coming to Everton.
1) Maybe Spurs will sell him on the cheap, cause they made a fortune off of the Robbie Keane transfer, Dumb Red shite!
2) Darren is a bit like Marcus, bags of pace but Darren knows where the goal is. David Moyes can transform "average" players into World/Upper premier class players
3) I can wear my Everton shirt that says 'Bent' across the back again Haha!

Based on technical ability is quite simply useless when talking about a RB and DM. As for Yakubu, technically he is brilliant and the only questions marks are against his workrate and temperament, he is more like a 9 than a 6.5 imo.

A decent Right Back (7)
A decent Winger (who can play with both feet) (8)
A top-drawer creative force (8)
A defensive Mid (7.5)
A out-n-out Striker (8)
A back-up keeper (6)
Numbers represent realistic quality needed to push Everton forward without breaking the bank.
1 being shite
10 being world class e.g Messi
Currently in those positions we have (based on technical ability etc)
Hibbert (4.5)
Pienaar (6.5)
Osman (5.5 at best)
Neville (5.5) based on yday a 10

I was in The Bear yday on the walk to Wembley, and Anichebe walked past the pub and undestandably got mobbed by fans asking for photos and autographs etc...
But did anyone else see him them and notice how much hobbling he was doing? and quite badly may i add!
And personally i thought it was a bit weird, (and by the sounds of it) he didn't travel down with the team on the bus?
Once he went most people mentioned that he could have already played his last game, what do we rekon?

Absolutely agree.
I thought we needed a holding midfielder but Neville has been playing out of his socks lately.
Rid-mid first because little Leon simply doesn't cut it for me. Some pace pls!
Yesterday he was absolutely hurrendous, one of the worst games ive seen him play. Never got to the ball, tried fancy things that never happend and gave away possession. The one thing i remember him doing was 1 tackle, i might be being harsh but i don't think there was anything else from him?

We don't know for sure how good he is , but we don't have a lot of proven backup for that position .
I suspect his wages aren't that high .
Obviously if we get someone else in , then it's a different story , but he wouldn't be playing for his national side , or infact be here , if he was total crap .
Glen Johnson would do a good job , but not cheap I suspect .

Scored 23 in the league last year , and already 24 this year .Unites Park Ji Sung is another nifty player . Few knee probs in the past though .
I like Blakes, but im gna guess McCarthy won't let him go now tho, especially if they get promoted?
And im soo glad someone has said Park, i really rate Ji Sung as a winger, he's rapid, got little touches and has proven he can score, if there's anybody realistic from United that we could get i think it'd be him? Gurantee him regular football, i rekon he'd think about it?

i believe DM would be looking at moutinho as more of a pienaar type playing on the left but drifting infield when possible as he has filled that role alot at sporting this season.i think we do need a natural winger to add a bit of flexibility to the squad but i think DM prefers to play with attacking full backs than have out and out wingers.
I think your right. DM hasn't brought into the wingers, and the way we play, our link up play on the sides represents the full backs intentions. Moutinho is a no brainer, i will eat a fuckin brick if he comes here and isn't one of the best players in the league. He is tenacious
and very frigging skillful. He is a complete handful, and an utter nusience to teams, think Stevie P's running, Arteta's skill and Cahill's doggedness...and you have Moutinho. I like him alot, i think he opitimises DM ideal characteristics in a player. Altho i agree with many it would be nice for a winger/forward of quality to burn down the flanks I'm not sure tho DM likes that idea? As a sub yeah, but i think DM favourite formation would include a midfield of 5;
A defensive leader, to sit in front of the defence, add a bit of height, a good tackler and a good reader of the game who will rattle a few cages with some meaty hits, but likes to play simple balls, or have the ability to bring in and control 'runners';
A hard working all rounder who controls the tempo, brings vision and the element of suprise into games, techniqually very good, probably the most skillfull player on the pitch;
A character who can bring the best out of people, maybe a local lad who optimises the Everton ethos, the bravery, the loyality, the inspiration;
The offensive runner, someone who looks for channels, gaps and will take any given opportunity to rip-the-shit out of a defensive line, someone with speed and agility, who can drift in and out to create openings, take shots ffrom outside the box, and be inside it when the move finishes;
The fox-in-the-box, the 'pain in the arse', the guy who supports the front man, drops off to help his midfielders when in need but will stick by his front man at every opportunity, finds himself in the box, at the right time, gives a few body checks, lets the defenders know he's there, but won't stop running, the stamina of a stud.
p.s. this is what i think DM is looking for, i might be completely wrong, so sorry lol
You know what i would like, a Veloso and Moutinho double swoop, £18m for both with increases based on CL, goals and appearances. My god i would need more boxers, think of this as a midfield....(i like it anyway

A promising debut. By no means perfect but showed some nice touches especially going forward (as suggested earlier). Now if we could somehow fuse together Hibberts defensive ability with Jacobsens forward play.

Lewis Holtby is a very talented german player who currently plays for Aachen in Germanys second league. He's only 18 years old and already playing week in week out. Left midfielder who is known for his dribblings skills and his passing. Very quick on his feet and great vision.. just not very consistant yet, which is normal at this age i think.
Why am i telling you this? Because his heart beats for Everton FC. I have no clue why but he just stated this in an interview with a german newspaper (sport bild).
Maybe someone of you has contacts to responsible persons at Everton and could give them a hint.
Lewis already being scouted by many topclubs but i think if Everton ever has a chance to sign him it must be now.
Sorry for my english, btw .. I'm german myself as you may have guessed.

One of the things i was saying to the old man yesterday, and i wonder if anyone else noticed, how little effort the keepers used to kick the ball literally the length of the pitch. On a couple of occasions Howard and Foster played to each other!? i know the pitch slowed the ball down but fuck me, the minute it went in the air, it was like a friggin fly-way! did they use a different ball for yday??
