    Howard

    Jags Yobo Lescott Baines

    Neville Rodwell

    Osman Felli Pienaar

    Cahill

  2. IMO Kranjcar is not all what he is cracked up to be and I'm not at all certain he would be right for us. However as this is the Pienaar thread why are we talking about a replacement for him when he hasn't gone nor has he asked to go. Given the right offer I would not object to him being sold as he has seldom produced a telling pass in the area. This lad works his arse off, there can be no question about that but for all that work his end product is poor. In 10 months time he will be off to the ANC, at a hectic time of the year we will lose his services. We have too many Africans in the team so if we can show a health profit by selling one of them..................makes sense to me

True, wasn't he not getting regular 1st team opportunities at Pompey not so long ago? Anyway i like Stevie. He runs his ass off, got nice little feet, and he has the deepest voice for a small person i have ever heard.

Think Barry White meets Verne Troyer

  3. I wasn't sure if this has been done already but i'm enquiring into whether people have tried and voted on the new Walkers Flavours?? I've tried 4 out of 6 so far and this is how i rank them :P

    1. Crispy Duck and Hoi-sin sauce - Amazing!! My favourite, gotta win, it's sold out in our local...must say something haha

    2. Chilli and Chocolate - I'm a chocoholic so im slightly biased on this, but again what a flavour...it shouldn't work but by god, it does!!

    3. Onion Bhaji - I wasn't too keen but i must say, pretty good. The flavour does get a bit boring after a while!

    4. Builders Breakfast - I can't really rank this one myuself as it's one of the packs i haven't tried, most people have said they're ok...maybe a little too much egg??

    5. Cajun Squirral - The 1st pack i bought...wish i f**kin hadn't...taste of bark. Horrible!!

    6. Fish and Chips - Right, another flavour i haven't tried but this went straight to the bottom, for 3 reasons. a) Everyone i know whos had them said, they were a poor effort at Prawn cocktail and really not nice! b ) I hate fish, don't like the smell or taste so thats that one sorted!! and c) Chips are potato, how the hell do you take the flavour of a CHIP in a crisp!? its nearly the same friggin thing?!

So yeah, has anyone tried them all, and where would you rate them? Be interesting to see if a 'foreign' flavour makes the great british flavour taste? :D

    WE NEED PACE!

jofanon i completely agree, but i think the Moutinho argument is that Arteta is out for a minimum of 9 months, so DM is going to try and get someone in like-for-like. Moutinho is better that Mikel was at that age. He's an international starter with critics acclaim. Moutinho wouldn't be a temporary solution, we are talking investment, long term! In theory, Arteta would become the master and Moutinho his prodigey (can't spell)...but i think we would potentially have one of the brightest footballing talents in the world!? Sporting4ever will tell you, he works his socks off for 90+ minutes and hates losing the ball...sound like the Everton etho anyone!? :)

Yeah Sporting want a little bit too much for him, that we can't afford freely...but we'd be the same!? If Arteta was fit, and still producing the form we've seen recently and a club with money came in, i wouldn't like to see him goin for any less than £18 mil!?

Pace we need...but in a differnt department . ATM we need a creative, working force and in that respect, i think Moutinho would be the guy. I maybe wrong but i think he'd light the prem up!? Obinna's a good shout again, tho for right wing, performances for Inter this term havn't been too shabby eh ;)

Catania's Japanese striker Takayuki Morimoto is attracting Premiership interest.

The 21 year-old centre-forward's form in recent weeks has attracted the attention of Premiership clubs, with Manchester City and Everton posting scouts to watch Morimoto in action.

Morimoto is inside the final 18 months of his current Catania deal and his powerful physique and pace is seen as perfectly suited to the rigours of Premiership football.

  6. Really don't think we'd get him. I think Love will be the sort of player who loves the rich lifestyle and lets be honest, we won't be able to give him that! I think Love is awesome, i'd have him in our team anyday, said it in the last thread but we can't offer the £120K a week wages that City wil be offering!? Sorry to say Davey, u ain't getting this one :(

  7. I heard the option to buy Jo is a similar price . If Jo does well , we would have to lose someone to get either probably , and definitely to get both .

efctaxi, ur right we'd have to lose someone to get them both but think about that. What a pairing that would be?

I hope its not just me, just think of Jo's flair and creative movement, with Bents abilty to score with eaither foot, from anywhere around the 12 yard box n both have pace to burn! Jo's ability to pick out passes (evident form the Bolton game) and Bent's ability to latch onto quick passes and loose balls is unparrellel to most in the prem.

As a pairing, either one has the following or both... Good Height, Good shot accuracy, Good shot power, good decision making, Nice control...i'm probably getting way too ahead of myself but hey!?!?

Just hope Jo keeps it up n doesn't wanna go back to the team he struggled in. Mybe we could knick him at the similar price, that would be a bargain! :D

  8. He doesn't say he wants to come to Everton, just back to the Premiership.

Thats why i questioned marked the statement ;) I know it doesn't mean he wants to come here but to be fair which other teams, bar the top 4 (Which i dont think would want him) would he go? It was only an open suggestion.

  9. we'll have to agree to disagree because I completely disagree with that. do you think fellaini has improved us from last year? yakubu did, did beattie?

but on the squad front i don't think we have a decent one at all, we're putting kids on the bench that aren't ready, even shandy is on the bench we're that short. if pienaar and osman (who isn't good enough in the first place) get injured who do we bring in? gosling or rodwell? both central midfielders who are prospects not top 6 players. if we buy one player a season whilst man city, spurs, newcastle, villa buy several how are we going to keep improving? it's only a matter of time before someone like spurs starts the season well they were ahead of us a few seasons ago and as much as i hate them they'll be back there soon enough.

on the adam johnson point, you're right he's not champions league quality, neither is pienaar, osman, fellaini, neville, hibbert all which are current starting 11 players. the thing with johnson however is that he has the potential to be a champions league player and sometimes you've got to take a player like that and blood them in. even if he isn't top 4 quality he's still better than osman and thus is still improving the starting 11.

on pennant - as i said he may be a prick and yes he could cause problems in the dressing room I wasn't saying that we should definitiely sign him, I just mentioned him in a group of players that we have been linked with an may be cheaper possibilities, on a free transfer and better than what we have.

as well as we've done recently we've still got a squad that's not big enough to compete at the top. liverpool in the cup we were absolutely battered, poor poor performance and that's with only arteta missing from the side that gave them a good game...coincidence? maybe, maybe not. every team misses key players, i'm not trying to say that they don't but we've got noone on standby that's proven.

after spending 15+ on fellaini can we really afford to spend in excess of that on ANOTHER centre mid? not for me, too risky. i really wishwe'd signed mout instead of fellaini but we're stuck with screech now much to my disappointment,

CraccerC, are the hightlighted sections a contradiction then? You said the our kids aren't ready and they need time, but you are willing to take Johnson in the starting 11 over Moutinho, whom may i add, would need alot more time!?

Personally i'd have Moutinho over Johnson, because a)he has much more experience at top level b)is quite clearly more talented, even at 2 years different and c)we've had a johnson and i WANT a moutinho :P
