Wouldn't like to see Gueye leave, thought he's done well in the few games he's had. Looks like he'll be playing 3rd fiddle to Oviedo's second on the LHS though.
Could be a decent bit of business though. From memory we got him for around 1 mil. I'm guessing he should be worth at a least a few mil now?

Wow, never considered a manager getting paid more than his player. Well deserved by Moyes in any case.
-
Good squad player to have around, especially in the absence of Gibson. Reminds me a bit of Gravesen (the workhorse side of him, not the nutter side).
-
Heitinga is undoubtedly the best of our CBs when he has the ball at his feet but he is not in the same same league as Jags as a defender.
He is a character and seems to get the fans on his side, but he is always banging on about wanting to leave and some of his performances this season havent just been poor they have been abysmal. West Ham away stands out and Wigan away was even worse. For me if he wants to leave and someone is willing to pay then let him go
I cant see us getting Lescott but if I could choose between the 2 it certainly wouldnt be Johnny
Couldn't have said it better myself. The team can't even buy a clean sheet (let alone anything else) atm, and Heitinga seems to be part of the issue. Undoubtedly he has immense quality on his day, but its been a long time since I've thought he wasn't a liability at CB compared to Jagielka or Distin.

Neville is getting on a bit, doesn't really have the pace for the prem anymore. Reckon he'd be keen to stick around in a management/coaching capacity (a la solskjaer)?
-
Baines was a no brainer for me this week. Helped drive nearly every attack (don't remember anything positive really coming from the right hand side of the pitch at all).
Honourable mention to Anichebe, well taken goal and good effort after he came on.

I wouldn't want to sell Felli to another English club. Even if they did offer them lot. Would rather we ship him away so we wouldn't have to play against the big man. Knowing us though a club will come in and we will go mmmmm give us 20mil and that will be that. If you think how much English players are worth! Henderson - 20 million, Downing - 20 million, CARROLL - 35 million. We should get at least 30 million plus as he is better than ALL them players .
Agree!

With the way Newcastle are defending, we're in with a shout for sure. Baines and Pienaar being injured does kinda ruin the optimism though...
-
Jelavic has been disappointing for the last few matches for me now and most of the season so far tbh. Not sure if its because of shoddy service from the midfield or defenders just have gotten used to him.
-
Rich owners aside, is it really such a big advantage with financial fair play rules coming into effect?
-
Pienaar for me. Tbh felt no one really played after the disallowed goal until the 2nd half. After that seems like every good drive forward was spearheaded by peanuts.

-_-
Different season, same story.
Why does it seem like everytime we have striker thats about to go on great run of form they injure/break something

Arteta spent quite a fair bit in the treatment room himself.
In the last 3 seasons, his minutes on the pitch were 2251, 1033, and 2405 giving an average of 1596.3 minutes per season. A full season without injury would be 3420 minutes. Considering Moyes doesn't employ a rotation system, that's not a great return for 75k per week.
Fellaini is just as bad.
His stats on the pitch are dismal, with the last 3 seasons being 2385, 1762, and 1652 giving an average of 1933. Did I read somebody mention he was worth £34m ?
Nail on the head right there.
Arteta has been overrated in the last couple of seasons. A few awesome goals since he got injured, but hasn't looked anywhere near his best in a looonnnngg time.

yeah, the idea of Ross being told that Everton is the best club for him by men of integrity like John Terry, Frank Lampard etc makes me confident of keeping him...
The England set up is a bad place for talented youth having their heads turned. Lets just hope we improve enough to keep him.
Made my day when I read this.
He is a leader on the pitch though

as an asian, i would be annoyed if it wasnt so funny.

Anyone know any details of Drenthe's contract?
From what I've read in the news, his contract finishes at the end of this season?
Does Everton have any first-buy options in place??? I think he could possibly be a keeper
-
I dont believe for one second that Moyes would walk. He knows the situation and he knew it when he signed his contract. He needs to stop feeling sorry for himself, get the team organised and go out with the mindset of winning football games.
Agree that Moyes wouldn't just walk. Don't know about the mindset issue though.
I reckon that we can all see the flowing, attacking mindset Moyes is trying to instill in the squad. It's just the bloody cutting edge in and around the box we lack consistently.

No real reason for the Arteta bashing. He took a paycut for a chance at titles and trophies.
6+ years of great service to the club. Good luck to you sir.
-
Distin for me. Saved our ass more than a few times and even found time and space to surge forward.
Honorable mention to fellaini, and a dishonorable one to Arteta. Honestly, he's lost his touch. I can't rmmbr the last time he put in a decent cross for a setpiece.

We won, I take it all back, what was I thinking?!
Ah how fast the unfaithful return to the flock....
-
What makes you say that?
-
Needs to improve his dribbling and passing more. Give him a year or so in the first team and he'll come mint
-
cant wait for him to be fit and doing turns around bellamy again
-
Really?
I thought he was superb going forward, everything we did went through him and Piennar, and did his job well in defence
Just watched it on MOTD and it does my head in how they edit it to completely change the complection of the game. Blackpool were on top for the first 10 minutes and the last 10 minutes but we totally dominated the match in between those times
Perhaps im being abit harsh. Just didnt think he was up to his usual lofty standards (((

Get some gimmicky drawcards for the games. Semi pro style
I'd pay money to watch Kenright wrestle a bear
