  1. That sounds incredibly unlikely to me; any evidence to back it up?

Never heard of any company or organisation ever doing such a thing. Individual contracts may be agreed taking into account the rates of the time but (for example) in 1974 the top rate went up to 83%. Any club/company contractually obliged to guarantee a net income under those circumstances would very quickly go out of business.

Any club who work like that would be barking mad in the current financial situation.

Was on SSN, when they disscuessed if the prem was losing it, they explaned about the tax rate. That the clubs pay the players more so they get the same Net pay

  2. He is hard working

    He is determined

    Loyal to the club

    Doesn't take crap from anyone

Has a decent record with young players

Can spot a very good bargain ie Arteta, Bent, Pienaar and Cahill

Excellent at installing belief and togetherness to the players, as a unit.

So there you Duncan, hope that helps lol.

OMG FRAME THIS CAPTAINFERG SAID SOMETHING GOOD ABOUT EVERTON

  3. Why are the best players in the world playing in Spain, and a couple in Italy. Certainly, a higher percentage of the very best are in those leagues.

Ronaldo whos the best player in the world, left England because he won EVERYTHING with Man U an wanted a change an wanted to play for his favourite club.

Once City get in the Champs leagues, a few like Messi an co could well be in England.

  4. Lol what odds will you give me that we stay up?

We have probably already blown any chance of qualifying for Europe through our league position( but I knew that by the end of July anyway!) but we will not be going down!

We do he same every season , start bad.

what makes me laugh is how you guys are getting so upset, we always get beat at Fulham, we shouldn't but we do, they always get a lucky like they did today, We never win there, they never win at our place. They never win in Merseyside. Seems odd but that the way it goes.

  5. Well i called the team he'd pick before he did an i said we lose 2-1 an we did.

Moyes is a great manager, for some reason at times he doesn't seem to be a great reader of the game at times. He made really odd subs, i thought Heit was AWFUL when he came on, even though i thought he'd start. Our attacking was pathetic, Fulham looked like they were gonna get 3 or 4, we looked like we wern't gonna score in a week. Why he took our only striker off an put Fellini on an then he put the Yak on, who's miles from fitness. should have gone 4-4-2 left Jo on took off osman, brought on Billy an so on an so fourth, then again hindsight is a great thing.

Tbh i wasn't suprised we lost, We never win there, 1 win in 10 now? An we looked like a time that expected to get beat an we did.

  6.

Well it deepnds on the team moyes picks, if he pick the team i think he should play, then we will win 2-1 if he pick the team i think he pick then i'd go for a hard fought 2-1 to Fulham. Osman an Hibbert just arn't good enought, an every team in the prem knows thats our weekness.

I hate being right because we lose but i told you so

  7. I no that being ill isn't an excuse but i wanna just focus on this a moment.

First off he had an illness an surly a bad one if he's losts weight(7lbs was mentioned), which means he either been in bed alot or simplely hasn't been able to eat, Meaning he has less energy, giving him less time to train, meaning that his fitness will be behind everyone else.

His last performance against Wigan was his best, alright it was only 20 mins, but maybe he was finally fully fit an recovered. Only time will tell.

  8. If Vic was fit this summer he would more then likely have been sold. As he wasn't no-one wanted to buy him. He not got the same quality as Yak or Saha an will struggle to get in the team. He might proved cover for the right(think its right)Wing this season an will be sold, unless he proves himself this season.

  9. lol well spotted. Getting my own point confused there. What I'm trying to get at is that they haven't been tested on a consistent basis.

So Jags did well enough for 45 minutes. I was as happy as anyone about it and think that he is brilliant for us but the top level of football? I don't know, until he consistently plays against the quality of Villa in something like the Champions League then I think the idea of him being a top level defender is a weak one. Actually, now that I think about it he will play against some good forwards when we play against Benfica and (hopefully) when we progress so I'll guess we'll see.

We beat Liverpool and Manchester United in the league last year and the year before?

Should have won means very little, sadly. If a goal has been scored it is mostly thanks to poor defending so not having enough defenders is never going to help.

What are you talking about? The English Prem is the BEST LEAGUE in the world an thats a fact, Every player wants to play here, an Jags has played some of the best strikers in the world, Rooney,Drogba,Torres to name a few. Don't think Jags will be fit to play against Benfica.
