  1. How wonderfully provincial of you. ;) Of course, most of my fellow Americans would rather shove hot pokers under their fingernails than watch cricket, rugby, or polo (or soccer, to be perfectly honest), and I've been witness to more arguments than I care to remember between NASCAR fans and F1 fans who can't understand why anyone would ever be interested in watching the *other* kind of racing, so I suppose it cuts both ways.

Personally, I think fishing is the most boring sport on the planet, and I can't believe that they actually televise fishing tournaments nowadays. Only time I'd ever turn one of those on is if I was on a bad insomnia kick and getting desperate for something to put me to sleep.

Runners-up in the "never did much for me" category: boxing, figure skating, and platform diving

It gets responses that way :D:P:D

  2. Come on, Moyes deserved booing for that. At home and making a change like that was disgraceful, and the fans turned out to be right on that occasion as we went on to lose the game.

Correct Mark, very negative from Moyes, probably his lowest point as Everton manager.

Most fans are fickle but sometimes the criticism is deserved.

  3. just watched that clip. to answer your question. very easy coz its not funny. i dont think ive ever watched anything with ricky gervais in which has actually made me laugh.

  4. What a game.

The atmosphere was superb last night, one of the best in a long time. Not one person sat down throughout, I would love for these sort of nights to become the norm.

As for the match we gave it our all. Maybe we should have converted one of the other chances we had but they done brilliantly to get back in contention (Fiorentina are no mugs)

Every single player out there played out of their skin last night (with the exception of Big Vic, who looked fucked before he touched the ball). Phil Neville was superb, he delivered alot of dangerous balls into the box (I never thought i would say that). Osman was my Man Of The Match, ive never seen him play with so much desire and commitment. Every Everton player stood up and played though. I was a very proud blue last night.

We lost and it is a big blow but its great to see how far we have come. We nearly (and possibly should) have gone through agaisnt one of the top sides in Italy. Its more experience for the lads and I think our european adventours will become more frequent.

Hopefully there are plenty more of those sort of performances before the end of the season. Lets get that 4th spot blues.

  5. Bolton were pissing all over him and the redS until their goalie pushed one in for them to change the game.

Carsley does just as good a job, i know its your opinion and your entitled to it, but in my eyes he's not that great a player.

Im with Bill on this one.

Hes alright but Carsely does the exact same job, just as good.

Decent but another hyped up Liverpool player that isnt as good as they make out.

There getting shafted for 18 million.

    Which is nice :D

  6. I know alot of fans regard Cahill as just a goal scorer who doesnt contribute much else but I think recently he has improved alot of other aspects of his game. (Note: Not to say supporters dont think hes a bad player!!)

His link up play with Yakubu and Pienarr has been brilliant in the last few games, hes been in the thick of several of the goals scored recently, playing some lovely passes including the one midweek against brann when he flicked the ball back into the path of The Yak to finish.

As well as his passing his running with the ball has improved. Hes more comfortable on the ball and gets in between players to win free kicks an awful lot.

Its nice too se players improving before your eyes, its great to see him still finding the net but because of his new improved abilities in other areas of the game I think Tim has become an even better player than he once was.

    TIM CAHILL....

What has happened with his brother? On the phone in on the way home he said his 'emotional celebration' was for him?

  7. Great result, great start to the match, the yak was hungry for this one.

I thought we a poor end to the first half and Pompey where on top for the first 20 minutes of the second. AJ changed the game around for me, made some great runs.

Pienar was excellent again, Jags just gets better and The Yak was on top form again.

I got in from the match to have a nice steak pie.

Can life being an evertonian get any better :D
