  1. That is about 3 hours from where I live.........that is funny as hell if it is true, must have been a high ass curb.
  2. hmmmmm, not sure what that means. Ya I think most people feel that way. I dont like southern US accents, and here i live due to my fathers job being relocated a decade ago. If southerns went to the north their accent would be SO pronounced but down here so many people speak this horrible accent they are just used to it and its not noticed. yes i do remember that.
  3. Blue Moon, a Belgian-style witbier brewed by Tenth and Blake Beer Company in Golden, Colorado, was launched in 1995. In Canada it is marketed as a similar beer called Rickard's White and is brewed in Montreal, Quebec[2]. Originally called Bellyslide Belgian White, it was created by Keith Villa, a brewer at Coors Field's Sandlot Brewery (the onsite brewery owned by the Molson Coors Brewing Company). The beer is orange-amber in color with a cloudy appearance because it is unfiltered. It is also spiced with coriander and orange peel in addition to the hops found in most beers. Blue Moon has a more pronounced orange flavor than many other beers of the style, and also has a slightly sweet flavor. The grain bill for Blue Moon includes malted barley, white wheat, and oats. * 1995 World Beer Championship gold medalist, White Beer category * 1996 World Beer Championship silver medalist, White Beer category * 1997 World Beer Championship silver medalist, White Beer category * 2008 World Beer Cup gold medalist, Specialty Honey Lager or Ale category for Blue Moon's Honey Moon * 2008 World Beer Cup silver medalist, Fruit and Vegetable Beer category for Chardonnay Blonde * 2008 World Beer Cup Champion Brewery - Large Brewing Company *Wikipedia
  4. Thanks, glad it has gotten a lot of attention. What about Blue Moon? Anyone like that? Has been one of my faves for years.
  5. Then I should fit in just perfect.....
  6. Ya I thought the same thing, I guess I was just curious if those phrases on the webpage are some you would hear in everyday conversation. Thanks for your response also, I agree it seems many people are "jealous" of the scouse identity.....I can tell that just from things I am reading on the internet. Thanks mate, I plan on trying it out one day.
  7. Thanks mate glad to be here. I cant help where I was born but I can help who I pledge my allegiance to when it comes to football regardless of what side of the pond I am on. I like this place so far, seems like good people and good conversation here.
  8. sorry didnt know the video would pop on the screen like that. anyway, here is the other link. http://scousedictionary.blogspot.com/
  9. I have three passions in life. Me family, Football and Languages. I have taught myself Spanish (very useful here in the USA) and also some Portuguese and enjoy learning just about anything regarding other languages as well. I also love the different dialects/accents within the English language, with scouse being my favorite followed by Irish (I know a large influence in the scouse dialect) and Scottish. I will put at the bottom of this post a few links to info I found on the net about speaking with a scouse accent and also some slang words used. Me question is, are these good representations of the accent/dialect? Thanks for any feedback, always enjoying learning something new especially from people who live in the vicinity of Liverpool on a daily basis. http://scousedictionary.blogspot.com/
  10. So about the same as here, interesting. I am guessing that John Smith's is cheaper than that? The way you guys are describing it sounds like some of the cheaper stuff we have here in the states that tastes like bath water also. Ever heard of Yuengling Lager? It's brewed here in the states but is a great brew and very cheaply priced, best beer for the price imo.
  11. How much is Stella costing these days over there? Here it is $8.00 for a 6pack or about £4.89
  12. Guess you were wearing the correct shirt last weekend vs. Wolves.
  13. What is this John Smith's beer that c1982 is talking about? Is that an English only beer? Any good?
  14. Interesting how Pete0 and The Beard can have such amazingly different opinions on the same beer. I wouldn't call it the best I ever had but definitely not as bad as The Beard describes it. You want some beers that taste like his description you should come here to the states..........we have some nasty ass stuff here.
  15. .......especially after a cup of coffee.
  16. Now that's some good drinking right there......I love Stella.
  17. LOL I agree mate, I am in denial and think that I am going to raise her to pick a nice guy but I know atleast once some sly son of a bitch will want to date her and she will most likely fall for his smooth talk. Oh well, that's what fists are for. I will put on my Everton jersey and tell him I was raised as a county road cutter......but that won't intimidate him cause he will have no clue who the hell that is. HAHAHA, that is hilarious.
  18. What would be impressive is if you told us you actually typed all this and didn't copy and paste from somewhere.
  19. I will drink it every now and then, it's pretty expensive here in the states. Not my favorite but I've had worse.
  20. I agree, they are great at any stage but it is much more fun once those first 6 months or so pass and you can start to really have more interaction with them. My oldest will be 3 in 2 weeks, I dread the day she is a teenager.
  21. I know what you mean, I am getting like 4 hours of sleep a night and feel sometimes like a zombie.
  22. It's the truth mate, I have a 3 year old and she is a little shit!! Already has the attitude of a 15 year old. Atleast she calls football football and not soccer and knows her favorite team is the "blue one" as she puts it so I guess she isn't that bad.
  23. Hahaha, you know u love the fact us yanks are in love with the toffees! Well I cant speak for every yank here but I can say I am jealous of you guys getting to go to/watch so many EPL games. I am not an MLS fan, I think the teams here in the USA kinda suck, but it may just be because I am a fan of the EPL and think the talent level and fan base are much better. Me plan is to one day make it to an Everton match, until then I will sit here on the couch, watch the match and pretend I am at "The Grand Old Lady" .......... BTW it is weird if I wear my Everton jersey and scarf here at home during the match?? haha
  24. Just positive thinking mate, I know that with Everton u never know what to expect! haha
  25. Thanks! Glad 2 b here. 2 more days till we embarrass the wolves on their home turf.
