MikeO Posted April 19, 2008 Report Share Posted April 19, 2008 Nice to see, among all the clubs in dire financial trouble, going into admin and being threatened with extinction, Aldershot back in the league sixteen years after going out of business. Was the nearest league club to where I was brought up, about twelve miles away and I used to go and watch an occasional game there. Funny enough they secured promotion at Exeter, which is about twelve miles from where I live now . Once watched about a dozen Spurs fans wade into the Aldershot standing section (only terracing behind one goal at the Recreation Ground, railway runs down the other end) at a pre-season friendly...lots of women and children caught up in it...good old days eh ?
