Louis
Elstone: "Everton Chile were considered as opposition for pre-season but the most important thing is the quality of the opposition and the decision was made on footballing grounds." Is he saying they're not good enough to play at pre-season?
thehelmet
I thought they'd be in midseason there or some such thing..?
CraccerC
i think this is a missed opportunity and a bit of a shame. if bury are good enough then so are these.
Romey 1878
What a ridiculous comment, we played a non-league side last pre-season.

Louis
You do know Everton are the Chilean Champions and played in the South American equivalent to the Champions League (Copa Libertadores) this year? Maybe it wasn't cost effective to go to Chile for a pre-season game to celebrate another club's centenary and then move on to USA/Canada ? Why not fly them in for a friendly is another question. I can only imagine it'd be sold out for name sake.
