Ian C
Moyes epitomises the stereotypical 'British' manager. Determined, hard-working, loyal, principled, wheeler-dealer, great motivator and by association a good man to bring through youth because he understands their mind. Negatives being he's not as cultured in football terms, is an ex-player not a career coach so doesn't understand/implement the major technical and tactical theory, favours consistency over brilliance (Both positive and negative). However I think a lot of people are being unfair. Playing the 4-4-1-1 is not a negative approach. On attack Cahill is nearly as advanced as a striker. Playing the 4-4-1-1 is the right way in my opinion, Cahill has way too much quality to be on the bench. However where he is negative is in the build-up, or rather not scolding Tony Hibbert and Joey Yobo for their hoofball. Overall, David Moyes is still my God.
