  1. oh moved to SF, met a lady, got married, got two cats and a dog etc. etc. etc. I've really cut down my online time since I started being on a computer all day at work. I get my everton fix passively thru podcasts now, which I can do while walking the dog -- hard to argue with you lot when I'm holding a leash I hope all's well with everyone!
  2. 4G has much faster internet connectivity - max ~8MB/s download. Whereas 3G maxes out at about 1MB/s
  3. Played a pretty decent level, mainly as a fullback. Moved in goals for my last year (at about 14) as my coach thought I'd have a bit of talent in it. He must've been right because I was poached off to play basketball by the local club at a pretty high level. Packed in the football then.
  4. Going to see it tomorrow night, you've gotten me all excited
  5. Sadly only here for the summer, but you should ask https://twitter.com/EvertonUSA -- they've got Everton hook-ups across the States! I'll be back in your timezone soon darling <3
  6. Oh hey, I currently live in SF (SoMa/South Beach area specifically) but I'm born + bred in Dublin, Ireland (not the rednecky Dublin on the east end of the BART line ) Welcome to the Everton family.
  7. Gave it to Coleman, exceptional. Baines and Barry were terrific too. Naismith would have it if he put away one or two of his chances.
  8. JOHN MOTHERFUCKING STONES. s/o's to Barry and McCarthy.
  9. HBO's new series Silicon Valley is seriously funny.
  10. Agreed, thought Stones was v. good - started a ton of attacks by quickly getting the ball out and forward to Coleman. And hey, that mistake led to the first goal
  11. I think he could do a great job in a double pivot system, when his pace starts to leave him.
  12. Push your traffic through a VPN and all that your ISP will see is encrypted HTTPS traffic.
  13. Not even it's as simple as "he doesn't try". I don't think you can watch him play and think that he's not putting enough effort in. I think world class players need to be surrounded by great players and a great manager, and given the space and responsibility to thrive. Rooney has none of that at United. I think if he were at a Bayern, Madrid or a Barca we'd feel very differently. It's funny, Rooney always struck me as someone motivated purely by football (by achievement, not necessarily loyalty), not money. I think his upbringing, or maybe the people around him, have led him to compromise his football for money - and I don't think he's happy with that.
  14. Only insofar as being locked in my room doing assignments and studying can be considered 'alive' *whistles*
  15. Was going to rant about the sheer incompetence of some people in one of my university coursework groups in the other thread but I won't, because I reminded myself that I'm moving to San Francisco for the summer in ~7 weeks and ain't nothing gonna bring me down
  16. Fucking love it if Jela scored to win it and send us above them.
