  1. Any chance we could do something not through Paypal? I have way too much trouble with them. A simple donation page with Stripe integration perhaps?
  2. I think QPR could be a great move for him, playing in the Championship would do wonders for his confidence and they'll be up next season with himself as first-choice striker. Whether the Championship would be considered a good enough level for his own World Cup ambitions I'm not sure. Also, as an aside, I've been so impressed with how Roberto has been handling our transfer business. Everything is out in the clear and open and we seem genuinely to be trying to do best by our players. Even players who are clearly not in his plans, like Heitinga, have been kept onside and there's been no fuss or disruption. I thinking benching/getting rid of players with the personality, reputation and pedigree of Heitinga and Jelavic without a negative word said in public is a sign of true class from everyone at the club, especially Roberto and BK.

    Southampton

Really good three points given the state of the squad.

    I fucking love James McCarthy

Shit-ton of movement on that but you NEED to get a hand on it.

So much better since Pienaar came on.

Midfielders really aren't working hard enough to make space when we have the ball. Not enough sideways options for the men in possession.

Think Osman has too much of a tendency to move the ball quickly at angles to his body position when he receives the ball in our own half. Which is good when the player he's passing to has a run on their defender, but it's not keeping the ball the same way Barry and McCarthy do. We've been in need of him turning and holding the ball in the centre and letting the players around him regain shape more than a couple of times. Naismith has been pretty okay actually, released Lukaku and Coleman a couple of times. Again, unlike Pienaar/Mirallas/Barkley, he's not really capable of running with the ball and holding it. Similar with Oviedo. Though both of their work-rates, positioning and movement has been quite good. Coleman's been class <3. Barkley's been great. Baines is rusty. Distin has been having a Distin at times. Alcaraz has been sharp, looking good. Joel needs to work on his distribution. Lukaku looks good when we have the ball, suffering from lack of opportunities due to our poor possession.
  9. McCarthy for me, one of the best central midfield performances I've seen in a very long time. Completely dominated. He's the reason we controlled the game so seemingly effortlessly. Even in the first half when we weren't creating he kept us totally in control and in possession. Great distribution too and nearly nicked a goal with that great link-up with Lukaku. Pienaar and Deulofeu close second/third. Deulofeu rightly getting the attention because he was on a different level at times but Pienaar was absolutely incredible too. He just seemed to glide around the Stoke players with all the time in the world on the ball. Oviedo was pretty good going forward, threatened much more than Baines has recently. Didn't have to do much defensively so he misses out on my top 3.
  10. Yeah, new album isn't great - but the setlist only has 3-4 songs from the new album, 1 from Invented and then nearly 20 old ones. It's faultless
  11. Jimmy Eat World UK Tour 2013 If you're near a show this week, fucking go. The Dublin show last night was easily the best gig I've been at in years. And I saw The xx a month ago
  12. An improvement on Hitzlsperger as midfield cover.
  13. Agreed, regardless of an actual footballing brain, skill + pace for the prices being thrown around always has potential.

    Women

Card-carrying member of the Irish Labour Party, thank you very much. The idea that having had bad experiences with some people who happen to be women can lead you to 'hate' women (and not just those particular women, but all women) is a bit, strange, isn't it? And you don't find the idea that you can 'hate' women and not be a misogynist to be odd? What if you had bad experiences with some people who happened to be black? Would you hate all black people? Would you make threads online about how you hate black people? Could you somehow reconcile that with not being a racist, too?

Nope, you're a misogynist. And, after making a thread about how you hate women, clearly unable to recognise irony either.
  16. Disappointing - but a good opportunity for Stones if we're playing a back 3 in 2 weeks time.
  17. Alcaraz thought injured by Matt Gamble, he'll confirm with Martinez later.
  18. Na na na na na na na na na
  19. I think Ossie gets caught with the ball on his left too much in the final third and he really, really can't get any power out of that foot.
