For those who are interested this week sees the launch of Football Aid’s annual auction allowing fans of the beautiful game to bid for the chance to experience a day playing at the Goodison Park.

 

Bidding for these positions starts on Tuesday 23rd of January and unlike Richard Wright, you can guarantee yourself a place on the team-sheet.

 

This years bidding starts at only £175 and offers you the chance to score a high quality bargain. However, you must remember to bid early as only limited positions for the Toffees remain on the team-sheet.

Nice idea in theory but in practise just open to rich bastards (and nice rich people...there are a few). City worker could take the small change out of his bonus to pull on a Chelski kit but your average fan has more chance of shagging the chairman's wife. Reverse auction, like they have on the EFC site, gives everyone a chance...probably raises just as much, if not more.

Last year some people paid around £1000 to play. It's a good cause but as mike says its out of financial reach for most fans.

Not knocking it Louis, but if they only got a grand a place then I'm damn sure they'd get more on a reverse...I'd certainly have a few quid on it...bet thousands more would also.
