Farky Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 People dont realise how many good goals Faddy has scored for us, including yesterdays. Watch this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XT_8pA_0po8 Cheers Quote
Blue 250 Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 McFadden's probably not far of a very good player......But he is a little short of a consistant player! So far in his Everton career most fans have only ever had him down as a good squad player. Problem is whats his best position?Does Moyes know!DoesMcFadden know!......What style of play suits him best? What we do know is he seldom scores a tap in!...now add 10 ordinary goals to your wonder goals James, and give moyesy a headache. AJ,Vaughan,Anichebe,Beattie,McFadden...All british(Well Anichebe is really)......Everton showing the way! Quote

I know what your saying mate, watching him with Motherwell from when he was 15/16 to Motherwell Reserves and First team and now with everton and Scotland, I have always thought Faddys strongest postion is either playing as an out and out striker or more effective as playing behind the two forwards. Not out on the left where he in-effective most of the time. Quote
thebluenose Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 he isnt the best of players in the prem but when hes on form he can cause trouble plus he doesnt score boring goals thats for certain Quote
iggy Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 In case you missed it (Or just want see it again!) here is yesterdays little gem (No sound) DJOUKzgrBUM Quote
Yorkie Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Firts time i've seen it, what a quality goal! Never really liked him but that was a good goal. Quote
aaron Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 you'd swear hes a top class goal scorer after that video. Hes a good squad player, could be useful as a sub late on in a game. Quote
Blue 250 Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 With McFaddens goals, did you notice that very few, maybe only one of them was a complete hit and hope! Can think of a few players of the rs who have raked up a list of wonder strikes......where to be honest it's just head down a hit it as hard as you can!OK a goal all the same, and it's a shame we don't have a Gerrard type player to strike them like that. But my point was/is that McFadden always seems to know where he's aiming for!.........just a shame he doesn't aim there more often! Quote

Watch this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XT_8pA_0po8 Cheers Mcfudge is shite, you get a glimpse of class once in a blue moon so what. His goal ratio's 1 in 10 and thats not good enough for any striker. Are you Chairman of the official James McFadden fanclub or even the man himself? 12 posts since the start of 2006 and every one's about how brilliant McFadden is. I know you're Scottish and from Motherwell but seriously stop kidding yourself. Edited April 16, 2007 by Bluetrip Quote

Well lets just hope he's on here a lot more then....say in the next few weeks! Cos crap or not if McFadden can do that sort of thing once or twice in the coming games....then he'll do for me!.You know some players do take a few to reach their peaks, beside Moyes will be the ultimate judge of McFadden, not the fans!If he's good enough for moyes he's good enough for me. If/when we get into europe were going to need players like McFadden. Quote
Dunny the Blue Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Thats a fantastic goal, well done Faddy lad!! Quote
Droobie Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Yes... good goal... and good when he's scored before... but way too far and few between. Quote
KillaGTiR Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 he aint consistant puts his bob in here and there and thats about it!! Quote
RuffRob Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 I think McFadden is a decent enough player. Had a tough couple of year of season when he first came south from Scotland as a youngster, coming to terms with english football. Also had a few problems with injuries when probably about to get a decent run in the team. Also, has been employed as a winger by Moyes, which is not really a position he has taken to - I think Moyes was hoping that he may have been able to make the left wing position his own by know with his dribbling ability etc. A decent enough player for a mid table team, but as yet not shown enough to be the type of player that would see us challenging for Europe season in season out. Nice goal the other day though! More of the same on a regular basis please! Quote
