And don't think he will fit in our team...in fact, dare I say it, I don't think we need another striker...I am even thinking that Nugent won't fit into our team he looked very ordinary the other night. Seemed to be 3rd choice to a partnership of Berb and Keane last season, and IF they get Bent, he'll go. In my opinion Defoe has suffered from the rotation of the 3 strikers at Spurs. If he moved and became a regular starter at his age now he'd be banging them in. I'd like to say that Defoe is average but he really isn't. EVERY time he came off the bench last season, pretty much, he made something happen for them, usually scoring a goal... BUT at Everton, he's too similar to AJ. We need someone who will shield the ball and bring our midfield and AJ into play... I think he is and always has been a greedy get, however I dont think that would be such a bad thing for us. Imagine a centre forward actually prepared to take players on. Who was the last one???
