  1. Once a Blue always a Blue as the saying goes. I am Everton to the core, cut me and I bleed blue. But like Dangermouse I am still very down just now with all the uncertainty and the lack of incoming players. See you at the game(s) guys
  2. I hope it doesn't take too long to sort this mess out whatever the outcome. I have expressed my feelings about the Kirkby move before so you all know I am not in favour. However I want the whole thing decided as soon as possible. This has been dragging on far too long in my opinion.
  3. It would interesting to know what Green thinks of the move then if Wyness was indeed the driving force behind it.
  4. I need new glasses. I thought for a moment it said "Eccleston" There was me thinking the F1 boss had come over to football
  5. That will certainly be the case. If we don't get him there will be voices raised asking why not and blaming BK or DM or both.
  6. Reminds me of another kit used back in the 1980's or so... Ipswich? Not sure but it seems I remember Paul Mariner in something like that.
  7. The short answer (speaking for myself) is NO. I do not see the connection with big money being put into the club by a new owner, and the obsession with becoming an out of town side.
  8. The Everton chairman, Bill Kenwright, has appealed for patience amid growing frustration at the lack of new faces at Goodison Park this summer. The club's manager, David Moyes, this week voiced his frustration at the threadbare nature of his squad, which he says requires "five or six players" to remain competitive. But Kenwright insisted it is a case of when, not if, the squad is strengthened. "Whilst I can fully understand the sense of frustration being felt by our supporters in the wake of what some perceive to be a moratorium with regard to the signing of new players, I feel it is important to make a few points," he said on Everton's website yesterday. While the loan players Manuel Fernandes and Thomas Gravesen have gone back to their respective clubs and the striker Andy Johnson is on the verge of joining Fulham, no new talent has been brought in this summer, leading some to question whether the proposed move to a new stadium in Kirkby might be hampering the club financially.
  9. Mexican giants America claim to have rejected an Everton bid for goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa. The highly-rated 22-year-old is believed to have been approached by The Toffees, as well as Turkish giants Galatasaray. But America want Ochoa to stay for at least one more season before he moves on to Europe. "We had a meeting with Ochoa to tell him we refused the offer from Everton and Galatasaray's proposal was just unsatisfactory," club president Michel Bauer told the Mexican press. "Neither us or the player think that a loan for a player of the quality of Ochoa is something serious. "We have arranged with Ochoa that beside the fact he has a contract with America until 2010, if an important offer appears next year we will do all we can do to transfer him because good players like him deserve to be transferred to a European team and improve their career. "But for the moment Ochoa will stay in America until December at least and after that we will see." Everton are in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer and last week opted against bidding for Sporting Lisbon's Vladimir Stojkovic.
  10. (I am going to hate myself for this) I DON'T BELIEVE IT!
  11. In god's name are we the place for any half arsed player to go to.... Who is this guy? FFS lets get some quality in. (OK Rant over, I do not expect to see this odd sounding name on a near future team sheet.)
  12. Oh bugger, that sounds about right............. Anyone got a noose?
  13. That sounds a bit negative. I must admit to feeling a little pessimistic, and you may be right. However I am trying hard to be a little more positive. I Think that if we do sign someone it will be a good quality player. (With luck it will be a great quality player)
  14. I dunno if I agree with the spineless bit Louis. I think it is more of a hindsight thing. Hindsight would be wonderful if we could have it at the start. In this case if we had known about the real mallorca stuff when the negotiations began. Of course we couldn't know about it as business is always kept (rightly so I think) away from the public until sorted out. I think it would be nice if we could know what each of the directors of the club think about a ground move, individually and not collectively. We could then perhaps understand a little of the thought processes that are pushing this deal.
  15. Good point well made. Without mentioning names as that would be for the rumour section, do you see any like candidates out there who would be for sale that would improve us?
  16. I have to admit I do like the way some football fans think. No matter who they support, an awful lot of them are genuinely interested in what is happening at Everton. And in that instance Louis, I think the comments actually made sense.
  17. IMO BK is just a fan like the rest of us who was in the right place at the right time with the right cash to get the club. There are better people around to move the club forward, but while he holds the reins it is not going to happen. However there may be some secret person in the background with money who wants to buy the club and is good at the business. Be nice to think that there is a rich multi billionaire who loves Everton and wants a slice of it.
  18. Great result from the boys. Hallam Hope? I hope he is a Hope for the future then. (Pun intended)
  19. Well ok. I don't want to get anyone in trouble for voicing my opinion here so I will say that this is what I personally think and is not representative of anyone else in this forum. Mr. Kilfoyle represents the Walton area as MP. He has said in the past that Everton moving away would be bad for his constituency. However he now mysteriously supports Everton not only moving from Walton, but moving right out of the city altogether. What has caused this change of mind? I suspect that he has either been offered a finacial package to support the move, or perhaps even a directorship or similar with Tesco. I may be totally wrong with this and I am not coming right out and saying he is doing something wrong here, it is simply an impression I get from all that has gone on. And I can't help what I think. However there is a question in my head just now. What is Mr Kilfoyle getting out of this? It isn't votes. It isn't jobs for people in Walton.
  20. I suspect I am not the only one to think this. BUT it is my opinion that there is someone putting something his way. If not financial, then possibly another form of sweetener. As I said this is MY opinion, and I would like to hear that I am wrong.
  21. I saw that on skysports text. Hope they are both OK. It also sang the praises of the young lad Baxter. I don't know a lot about him to be honest. Anyone got any opinions on him?
  22. I wonder if it will televised?
  23. Would BK's life insurance policy be enough to give us funds? If he loves the club that much maybe he could get back into Corrie and have a fantastic death scene written. We claim the insurance. BK pops up and claims it was a story... but too late we spent the money. BK Sells up to a multi billionaire and we are home free. Or is that too complicated?
  24. He is not my favourite player, but he says he loves the team and is pleased to sign again. I wish that kind of loyalty was contagious. I am glad he is around. He may not be great on the pitch, but he is good to have around.
