Sibdane
Quote Arsenal and Everton are battling to sign Torino defender Armando Izzo with both Premier League sides reportedly ready to bid €25million. The Gunners & Toffees are likely to be big players in the transfer market this summer. While Arsenal have a limited budget following their Europa League failure, there are a number of positions that need strengthening. Meanwhile, Everton are looking to build on their end of season run in the last campaign by signing some key players. The position where both clubs desperately need to strengthen is in central defence. Arsenal could sell Laurent Koscielny to Borussia Dortmund this summer and they would leave them short in a position which isn’t strong to begin with. Meanwhile, at Everton, Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams have left the club permanently while Kurt Zouma has returned to Chelsea after his loan spell at Goodison Park. Now, both Premier League sides are set to battle for Armando Izzo.

Just Googled and there's surprisingly few that have travelled across. Think we've had the most Italian defenders with three: Materazzi, Ferrari (loan), and Pitstone. Finn balor
Ferrari? Jesus forgot about him. I just think the way they are brought up is just not suited to this league.
DownUnderToff
Better, younger, options out there and too $$. Would rather we went for someone like Ajer at Celtic (and loaned them back one or 2 of our under 23's). Need to get in early on the likes of Ajer.
