It should be a curious season. I wonder what is going to happen when Chelsea, and QPR play again. Though I think Mario Balotelli is a C*nt; what the Italian F.A., and UEFA have tolerated toward him has put everyone else in a precarious situation. This bit about black player starting their own federation is dangerous for both sides. There is far to many under or uneducated people out there that would love to fight over a racial row.
Maybe what football should introduce is to "mic up" he field like they do in american football. Then any issues can be dealt with during the week after the match, and not 8 or 9 months later.

I would love to have Holtby, but I cant see him coming anytime soon. Shalke are going to play in the Champions league this season, he is 21, and put away 9 goals this past season. My guess is he is trying to force Shalke to give him a significant pay increase. Huntelaar and Raul were the only Shalke players to score more last term.
If he leaves Shalke I have to believe it will be for another club in the Champions league, but if we swing a top six finish who knows...

new TV deal tripled income
Hot Damn, any chance the extra income increases the chance for a new stadium?

Personally, I'd rather we save the wages/comp money.
This is something I have been thinking about lately. I dont understand how we have any money. We had less televised games this year, and I could be wrong, but dont we take some huge loan out each year against our season tickets or television revenue or something like that. Not to be the grimm reaper, but I would much rather we get complacent, or take a step back as opposed to falling down the stairs like Rangers or Pompey.

Hoilett shouldnt get more than 25k to start with, needs to prove himself before hes on the same lines as Heits, Baines, Cahill, etc
7 goals / 7 assists in EPL is proving ones self IMHO.

Response to a situation where you hurt yourself more than the person/people you're angry with.

Do Americans not use it?
Ive never heard it, but Ive lived in the Midwest my whole life.
like shooting yourself in the foot because you dont like the shoes?

He'll do well. Best of luck to him, really hoped he'd have progressed. I liked the look of the lad!
In photos or on the pitch? In pictures he looks kinda goofy, and on the pitch... I havent seen anything from him on the pitch.

is that called cutting your nose off to spite your face
I'd say!
I'm still trying to figure out what this means

I saw very little flow for United last season, and for a couple of seasons before that tbh.
My point was that Baines is a poor defender in all honesty and needs someone in front of him that will give him the freedom to go forward. He won't get that at United and we've seen how he looks for England when that's the case (in all honesty he's looked a nothing player for England).
Still has had a great career for us. Will be sad if he goes, but atleast its not that 7mil they were tossing about a month or two ago.

I mostly don't want him because of the whole wanting out thing. If my girl left me because she thought she was to good for me, and then realized she made a mistake I would prob give her a chance ala the loan period, and then cheat on her with someone younger, but Im a spiteful person.
In a nutshell let him rot on the Spurs bench. He left us. Since we appear to have money use it to pay compensation for Hoillett or something similar.

Granero is currently a much better player than Jack, but Jack has that world class potential. I also think Granero is far more creative than anyone we have. All that being said I dont think we have room in our midfield, but if we qualify for Europe he would be a fine addition.

Im calling BS on this one considering yesterday Cahill would have been at training, and I could have sworn I saw that Cahill was in Vegas last week.

I have to admit I was more than a bit concerned when Redknapp was let go, and lets be honest, who saw that coming?
AVB, not a bad hire, but his problem is he believes he is as smart as Mourinho.
When the day Comes that Moyes leaves I hope it is on his terms, and with a piece of silverware.

Thanks guys, much obliged.

Ive been following the site for 2ish years, and recently decided to chime in on some topics so I became a full member, and not just a lurker. Been a blue for about 6 years; started just after the 2006 World Cup. I have lived in the Midwest for nearly my whole life, and most clubs I follow hail from Chicago. I recognize that for some it must feel akward that someone who has never been to England nor seen Everton play in person can be a true blue, but I do guarantee that I am a true Everton fan.

Wonder if there's truth to it, and if it's scheduled for Monday or Tuesday. Just wondering as someone who hasn't followed football for 20+ years and is wanting to learn something, does a player and team agree to terms and already have a deal in place prior to the medical? So if this is true, does Naismith likely already have a deal in place, assuming he can pass the medical? Or is the medical earlier in the process before a deal is agreed?
Not sure about EPL, but in American sports they always have all deals negotiated prior to the physical. Its kinda like buying a house. Negotiate the price, and then have a contingency based on the physical.

If he came I think he'd be used more in the Cahill role rather than an out and out striker.
This, although he would be even more valuable when we go through our yearly scoring drought, and could actually play two strikers.

Let Yobo front his own transfer fee if he is so keen on the move. Obviously Fenerbache dont want to pay. They can frack off another loan deal. Two years is one year to generous. Either make the transfer happen or recall him. Enough is enough.
BTW: I dont understand why a middle eastern club hasn't made an offer. On footy manager it seems half their national teams are made up of African ex pats.

i just dont think kenright or the board have any ambition to build a team or improve its always money sell then loan a player for a year to make people forget, ill be discusted if we cant find enough money for pienaar without him we would never have finished above the shite and we cant afford a few million for a player who really does influence the team whatever certain people trhink this 6 million figure is alot more than i think they would accept they dont need him and he's in his 30s off topic i need to stop this
Even though I can't blame Kenwright for not wanting to spend his own money; I sadley believe this to be closer to what we can expect rather than even signing a player on a Bosman.

I would be happy with either, or both. Both have pace, ability to cross, and an eye for goal. Both come from attacking teams so that would require some adujstment, but I think they would be exciting signings.
He scored several goals on in Euro U19s. He was quite impressive. For Greece he plays further up behind the striker. This would be a good signing, and presumably cheap.
