  1. sounds like a saw influence to me. must have been extorsion if they are millionaires.
  2. flashforward. was gutted the series didnt get a second season, thought the book might clear it up. not close to the story line in the show but still cant put it down.
  3. when i see everton lose it hurts, if its to liverpool it hurts really bad. but seeing them win is fantastic. when jags scored the penalty at wembley i felt like i felt in 95, ok it was only a semi final but the feeling of celebrating with family, friends, and even the big stranger next to me throwing his lad in the air is what its all about. when i was bored a few years back, me and the lads used to go and watch the reserves at widnes, because we didnt care if they won or lost, was just a nice trip out. then it was the taking part that counted for us, but when we go to see the first team its all about the winning. anyone remember how shit we played the season we finished 4th? how many scrappy 1-0 wins did we have? i didnt care if it was a good game, we won was all that mattered.
  4. If only we had a big stadium and loads of Corp seats we would be fine. Oh wait a min, we don't often sell all our non restricted seats and we certainly don't sell out current Corp seats. A stadium will get more people in for the first few seasons but it would die down after a while unless we had the team improve to keep people there. We need both at the same time for it all to work, or just start with the team and build up the stadium slowly. That's how united did it.
  5. we are bookies favorites to actually sign a footballer? shit that means we might have a chance after all.
  6. gone for 8th. i think we will go a bit different this year, play well until january then implode in the second half of the season. maybe lose a player or two in jan to keep the heating on. city to win the league (i feel sick now)
  7. maybe thats what all the roadworks are? i thought they were just to keep people with modern ideas out of here. its like royston vasey.
  8. that would be a good excuse then. i just moved to preston, it makes wigan look nice!
  9. yes, on a match day by car/coach/bus it is a nightmare. on non match days its great to get away from, but why would anyone be there on a non match day. dump. and i know dumps, ive just moved to one!
  10. im sorry but just sitting back and supporting the team wont be as nice when the club has sold the artetas, cahills and jags to keep the club in business, but we find ourselves going strong in the championship. do people not realise just how close we are getting to melt down? we have been selling assets for years to keep the club in business, we have no off field assets left to sell. anyone we do sell will not result in the whole fee going in the transfer kitty, elstone has said this already. we already had to loan players out last year to keep the wages down, there isnt long left in this situation.
  11. you cant believe the words of people who have something to gain. he best transport links and all that rubbish was spouted off to convince people. goodison has great transport links, plenty of major roads head towards it and as people have their own little routines on a matchday its also one of the easiest grounds to get away from. if anyone has been to an out of town ground with car parks, bolton for example, nightmare to get away from. london grounds with numerous tube stations close by, get in line for an hour or two. gladly, KEIOC brought the truth to light and the government kept tesco at bay.
  12. finch farm has been a mother of a fuck up! the sale cost compared with the rent is just lunacy! i know it free'd up cash short term, but long term it is just terrible.
  13. My point is that he served his time when other people serve none yet people still can't let it go. The incident with the lad and the cigar was not on a football pitch so he could not possibly be banned because of it. Duncan hit a ref on the pitch, Suarez bit a guys ear on the pitch I believe and neither of them got banned. My main point is we all have a past, but in my opinion if a person has served their punishment it has to be left in the past. Murder and rape are the only crimes I see as unforgivable and unforgettable. There are plenty worse people then joey Barton in this world.
  14. Fantastic! My first everton game at my new place!
  15. Just replacing the park end with a very modern stand (with a long term view to continue it around the rest of the groud) could make huge difference.
  16. United are massively in debt, hence their fans protesting last season. And the thing with putting money in. Arsenal do it, I think it's called fan share. You can keep putting money into a trust, and the trust buys share. So you effectively have shares in the shares, but it released a lot of cash for the club over the years. The fans are a bit worried after their recent take over though, where they will stand in this fanshare. They have a website with plenty of info. Arsenalfanshare.com
  17. Most rapists don't go to jail, let alone even go to court. Joey has been charged and served a sentence given to him. As I said he is now a free man. Barton will always split the fans, but I only care about him on the pitch as off it he hasn't caused any problems for a long time now.
  18. The legal system we have in this country took him to jail, maybe a bit later than it should have but he took his pubishment, served his time and is now a free man. People guiltier of much much worse crimes walk this earth free without serving up any justice. If moyes takes the risk then I'd be made up we got a very talented footballer for free.
  19. Please bring him in! We need quality and we have no money! He'd certainly put some steel in our midfield and he does not let other players slack! Would be a cult hero and sell a fair few shirts too imo
  20. Haha it might have been an old banner
  21. on par with who? i dont bloody think so!
  22. i find myself now closer to marco's opinion. but its no coinsidence that the rest of the TT members manage to get along just fine.
  23. we have built a mid range but capable house, by the time we start putting the bathroom in the oven has broken, the fridge is warm and the previously beautiful oak worktops have not been treated with protective stain and has water damage. the water has passed through the worktops and the units now also have damp. we need a new kitchen and the bathroom still needs to be bought and fitted. we have enough cash left over for some pot plants and an ikea washing basket. edit: and we now have asthma due to the damp. and the kids need new trainers. and the new season starts in two weeks and we cant afford sky sports and espn.
  24. Everton now exist in a frustrating netherworld, neither one thing nor the other: too proud to accept mid-table mediocrity, but too poor to achieve anything higher.
