what we can do is after every game, get on TT and discus what we can do next. at the moment, yes, we can win the league, we can also get relegated. after each and every game we will go up and down in confidence accordingly.
but a little realistic optimism here; we have won our first two games, we have a very winable game coming up. so if after this weekend we have 9 points from 9, then bring in another exciting playmaker, our confidence will go through the roof. then if we manage to beat blackburn, again realistic, and get 12 out of 12, then i'm sure we will hear all the pundits coming out with "i really think everton can break the big four"

its been on portugese sites saying he doesnt want to wear number 10?
how perculiar!
-
ok mate, job done!
-
hey! ive heard about them quiet talks!
my arsehole is fine thank you!
-
give him £1 a week more than bolton give him and the greedy fucker will sign on the line
-
37 i've heard and think Stevo...he likes the number, made his name wearing it
di he not also wear 14 and 10 at Benfica and Portugal?
and who did you hear it from?
-
really? you've upset me now J, next you'll be telling me theres no santa or easter bunny!
-
Can i have some of the crack your smoking, because it must be damn fine
Quote of the day goes to Jamie!!!

im a big Yakubu fan, but last nite he really looked like he didnt want to be there.
i dont think he'll mess up the team spirit, not in the same team as his international captain.
the only other option i'd like is Anelka if they could do somethin about his personality, his ability is one of the best. European defences would shit themselves against him!

Mr Eriksson.......2

we'll see in another 36 games
-
are you crazy?
moyes wont drop stubbs, i understand people want to see a new signing get a game, but stubbs has played great in the last two games, why drop him?
if anyone is likely to be dropped maybe yobo if his injury is niggling, otherwise, if it aint broke why fix it?
-
hopefully we'll see manny with a shiney new number 10 shirt before the weekend, should make my trip down south more interesting!
-
i think it looks really good, shame we will hardly wear it!
-
Good shout on sissoko, could be worth a punt.
other than that manny an a striker will do for this year
-
to say vaughan is slightly better than vic is a big understatement imo
-
the long ball to AJ, i doubt is for him to win it in the air, more for him to run onto it, over the defenders head.
Vic is doing a good job, if another stiker comes in or when vaughan is fit i doubt he will be a starter.

When you play against a team like spurs its hard to play the bal;l out nicely.
we won, we won well. i wont be complaining about tactics

BLOW OFF SON!!!

exactly, as i said if you read my post.
DM has not mentioned any names or numbers.
the jounalist mentioned some quality players names who we have been linked with in the press. no manager would turn around and say "no, we are after a much lower quality"
at the momment its still all speculation, im not saying its not true, but all this going round like its fact.
the only one close to having any substance to it is the manny one, due to benfica making a statement
-
is it it true benfica have accepted a 9 million euro bid from us? i heard on sky
rumour would suggest so.
that is the first half sorted. they did ask for £6m from us to start with, that is for 50% of manny, which means we value the other 50% at £6m. so we now go and buy the other £6m/50% from his investors.
this may go down to the wire, because you know we will try to save a few quid if we can. im sure it'll be worth waiting another couple of weeks for the years of entertainment we can get from him.
excitement has commenced!
-
enjoy it laa, happy birthday

The Sport Lisbon and Benfica - Soccer, SAD, under the cover of the alínea i) of the Article 3º of the Regulation of CMVM nº 4/2004, informs that it received a proposal from the Everton Football Club for acquisition of 50% of the economic laws that withholds of the Manuel athlete Enrique Tavares Fernandes. The Advice of Administration of the Sport Lisbon and Benfica - Soccer, SAD, now equate or the acceptance of the proposal of the Everton or, in alternative, to come to acquire 50% of the economic laws that do not belong to the Society. For the decision on this substance, the will of the player will be determinative.
translation from CraccerC's link to the official Benfica site
can i get excited yet?

i actually rate nuno, when he first came here he was terrible, but when he isnt injured he has been a really good player imo. hes not the type of defender to throw tackles in all over the place, but he is very much a player who uses his brain a lot. his biggest let down for me is when he aimlessly hits the ball down the line. its such a waste because he has got an excellent left foot on him!
and look at his mantle piece at home. you dont win the uefa cup and champions league in a mourinho side if your not a quality player, and the ammout of caps he has for a very good portugal side.
-
why some people are wanting da silva to play really baffles me!
you dont put a relatively untried player in against opposition like spurs.
i saw him play in the friendlies, but he still shouldnt be a starter imo.
if we're taking a striker out for a midfielder id be hoping it would be an attack minded player
