  1. Never knew how right wing some of you are I know the media is always feeding us stories about how dossy prisons are but I am sure none of us would like to go there and I am sure they are very far removed from 'Holiday Camps'. Apart from the odd scandalous story in some of the red tops about lax prisons I am sure none of us have an accurate knowledge of what goes on it these places so I don't really think that we can say that prison is too easy. Also ffs killing anyone who gets life what if someone is wrongly convicted oh sorry you're f*cked cos you are already dead, I can't see any other solution apart from building more prisons. In the long term I think you could introduce parenting classes and things for these scallies who get pregnant at 15 and treat their children as fashion accessories but we wouldn't see the benefit of that for at least a generation
  2. If this happens I will be most peeved : http://football-forever.com/forum/showthre...2973#post322973 Liverpool have entered the race for Benfica's Manuel Fernandes after a possible move to Everton looks to have fallen through. Fernandes was set to join the blue half of Merseyside after he passed a medical at their Bellefield training ground but the fee remains to be a stumbling block for Bill Kenwright. Benitez has been alerted that he could persuade Fernandes to join Liverpool with the lure of Champions League football. This will come as a huge blow to Everton who have lost James McFadden and Andy Johnson through long term injuries whilst selling David Weir and Simon Davies in the meantime. It's Sissoko all over again
  3. Sorry if someone else has posted this but looks like this one has gone tits up too: http://www.sheffwed.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=48802 Everton have withdrawn their offer for highly-rated Wednesday defender Madjid Bougherra after the Merseysider's failed to agree personal terms with the Algerian. Wednesday revealed they had accepted an offer from the Premiership club on Tuesday and allowed Bougherra to begin discussions for a move to Goodison Park - but Everton withdrew their offer following discussions between their representatives and Bougherra.
  4. I dunno Mac sure you don't have a subtle bone in your body...
  5. We just have that post snow icy thing going on for the past couple of days Cold without snow just sucks
  6. The wii is supposedly about as powerful as the original Xbox so expect games to look about on par or slightly better than PS2 but not as good as 360 or PS3 but yeah you are right it's not what it is about. I may get one when they release some more decent games and I get some money and they aren't like gold dust but for now 360 is more than good enough.
  7. In terms of a non-sarcastic answer to your answer Steve-O a version of fifa will inevitably come out on it at some point EA have already released a version of Madden on it and they are releasing Tiger Woods on it in March I think. So I think that when Fifa 08 comes out there will be a wii version. Most games that will be cross platform will prob get made on the wii albeit in some kind of cut down form. Call of Duty 3 for example is out on the 360 and will be out on the PS3 too, however a version of Call of Duty 3 has been released on the Wii it has worse gfx than the other platforms but you have the unique control so I guess you pays your money you choose your console and you takes your chances.
  8. There is always the cheat option of typing the lyrics into google but I won't put the answer cos I think that defeats the purpose of the game, but dragonforce and this band that Pat just put up who the hell is gonna know these? I put Pink Floyd in mine thinking someone might actually know it I could have been much more spurious but it would have been stupid cos no one would have got it. I bet no one gets Pat's honestly unless they type it into google -_- Actually maybe I am wrong cos I just noticed it could be another band that are quite big I suppose if it's them I take it back
  9. Surely this should go in a section other than the rumors section since if we are already in the rumors section we don't need to be told
  10. Real Zaragoza to test Everton resolve over Arteta tribalfooball.com - January 23, 2007 Real Zaragoza are ready to test Everton's resolve over midfielder Mikel Arteta. Zaragoza's board are putting aside major funds to splash out on a star midfielder this season and Arteta, along with Osasuna's Raul Garcia, top their shopping list. The Primera Liga club are keen to buy Spanish and believe an offer of £6 million will be enough to land ex-Barcelona trainee Arteta. HA HA HA HA HA HA Double that and I still wouldn't be interested
  11. Just checked it's the song Harvest to be exact Whilst am sorely tempted to put the lyrics to T U R T L E POWER by Partners in Kryme, I will try something that the older members might actually know: Into the distance, a ribbon of black Stretched to the point of no turning back A flight of fancy on a windswept field Standing alone my senses reeled A fatal attraction is holding me fast, How can I escape this irresistible grasp?
  12. It's by Neil Young it's on Harvest but I can't remember the name of it
  13. Breaking the law... Breaking the law.........

  15. The only people who would consider the wrist straps faulty are total retards. Anyone who has ever played any kind of game and given it to their dad to have a go will know what I mean. With the wild accentuated movements and the convulsions of the entire body when they want to turn right or left for example. Anyone who has played games at all knows for the wii you only have to swing it gently to mimic the action of whatever you are trying to do, the people who are having problems with the wrist straps snapping are the ones who have been doing over the top swings on wii baseball for example and ffs does it seem like a clever idea to let go of the actual remote when you perform one of these actions NO that is why people are breaking straps because they aren't using it properly. Nintendo just offered new stronger straps to placate these total imbeciles there is nothing wrong with the actual straps it is just people not using it as instructed
  16. What about that guy from QPR I know they are quoting silly money for him but I think they would buckle if we came in with a firm offer of 4-5m
  17. Also Fernandes is a defensive mid and davies can play out wide (or is supposed to be able to anyway) Now the only wide options that we have are VDM and Osman although Arteta does play on the right mostly now so it seems.
  18. Look like Davies is going, from the official site: Everton have granted Simon Davies permission to speak to Fulham with a view to a possible move. The Welsh international, who played in Everton’s 2-0 win at Wigan Athletic on Sunday, is in London to meet representatives of the Craven Cottage outfit. Davies joined The Toffees from Tottenham Hotspur in May 2005 but he hasn’t quite had the impact that David Moyes was hoping for. In 53 appearances for the club, Davies scored one goal – the winner against Birmingham City at St Andrews last season. Any official further transfer news surrounding the player will be here on evertonfc.com.
  19. From the Official Site: Everton top scorer Andy Johnson was stretchered off midway through the second half of today's game against Wigan. The striker was taken to Wigan Infirmary after being withdrawn from the action as a precaution. He is believed to have sustained an ankle injury. The full extent of the problem will be known on Monday, although the striker must now be considered a major doubt for the Merseyside derby in a fortnight. evertonfc.com will bring you the latest news as soon as it is available. How long does it take to perform an X-Ray surely one will be done today and then a doctor would clearly be able to see a break or a fracture. It always puzzles me how at this club the results are never known till tomorrow, surely they have an idea rather than suggesting it's simply an ankle injury heck Sky and BBC have both stated he has a suspected broken angle not that you would know if you check the official site.
  20. Ok cheers I could go the pub I suppose thanks
  21. Just posting this here because no one might see it in the Everton Wigan thread. I just looked on the Sky sports website and it says in the preview of tomorrows game that Everton Wigan is on Sky1 but in the Prem plus section it still has this data as a prem plus game. I was just wondering if anyone has seen any adverts on sky about which channel this is on, I can get to a mates house to watch the game but they don't have prem plus and it is a bit of a way so I don't wanna get down there only to find that the game isn't on.
  22. If Resi 5 is as good as Resi 4 I will be happy tho think even including resi 4 the games seem to lose something near the end. Have completed all the main ones not dead aim except Resi 3 and without exception they all seem to go from creepy area eventually to some kind of bunker/military complex and end with the player having to run away during some kind of countdown change the ending please.
  23. I doubt we will be any richer cos any prem club at least will be in the same boat. So if we have 10m instead of 5m a 3m player would now be 6m so it is kinda a false economy. Yeah more money but cos everyone has the same amount of money we will be in exactly the same boat really that is how I understand it anyway.
