No way! Without doubt one of our most consistent performers this season, and well worth the money we paid. If the lad keeps playing the way he is, it won't be long before he gets international recognition, which is what he deserves. I agree though that a £15+million bid would certainly make the board think, but I hope they tell Real to go and buy another european prima donna and leave Big Joleon alone!

I would love him to join Everton! Can imagine having AJ and DB upfront. Pace to burn, Bent is also pretty tidy in the air, and both have a great knack of scoring goals at the right time and sometimes out of nothing. Look at the one Bent got on Monday. Both are young and have their best years ahead of them, he is also only one behind AJ in the top scorer charts. Would be an excellent signing! Get him in if we can!

Yeah that would be a great move for him. Regular football, and all within easy sight of Moyesie and Bellefield! Be great to see him back, but agree that we shouldn't pile too much expectation on him at the moment. Wait and see. Totally agree. I think once he gets going he will show he is a good player. he had a serious of little niggly injuries last year, and was never 100%. This guy was rated at £10m a few years ago at Spurs on the back of excellent performances. Since then has had a few injuries and knocks, but will come good. he is a great guy to have in the squad. Our tater can't play every game and we have 2 excellent players covering that position!

Saw the video posted on here about Utaka and he looks quite tidy. be a shame to let BT go. I know he is not in form at the moment, but last season he showed with games and confidence he is a good player. I think alot of the stuff about him this season is cos AJ has been so electric!! VDM, ohhh how I wish he could prove he is class. But so far he has not done anything, except one good cross for BT last season!

Hi all, just want to introduce myself. My name is Chris, and I have been an Everton fan longer than I care to remember. Been a tough ride as my twin is a red, but then again we are here to help the less fortunate. I currently live in London and only ever get to see the odd game, which is a shame. When I quit playing myself that may change. But one thing that will never change is being a blue! Top site, been checking in for a while now, so long may it continue!

I truly pray he does not move. He has been a wonderful player and only signed the new contract last season! With the additions we have made, we could have a good season!

Think he could be an excellent addition, especially if VDM is going. if we can get him in and maybe do that swap deal mooted with Porto for Benni Mc, I think we could be set for a good season. Moyes has shown some good negotiation skill, especially with Lescott. Getting Wolves to change their terms from £4m up front to £2m and £2m dependant on fitness, shows he has learned a lesson. Lets hope he can get this one in too, and get rid of VDM, as he seems to want to go. We only want players who wanna play for EFC!

Why do people on here always put Everton down. Why would Ze Roberto want to play for Everton!? Why not?! Okocha went and played for Bolton before they had a decent spell! So why wouldn't he?! D'Alessadro went to Pompey! Looking at the players we have signed recently, I would think someone looking in might think this is a team heading in the right direction. A team that finally has some of the pieces we have all been waiting for and could now actually start to be the side we have been waiting for. Maybe we can't afford him, thats cool, let him go to Chelski if he just wants money, but I think we are really starting to head in the right direction!

I read somewhere that he was an Everton fan too. Could be a useful addition for the wide right and left positions, if we can get him fit? And he will cost nothing. Any thoughts?
