I've edited my team because I forgot Lukaku.
My point was that we have no good enough cover for No10, Rightback or Striker. Surely they were the positions we needed improving? We could have made do without a centre back or winger but that's what we have spent our money on.
It does not make sense to spend where we have..

Best Team with 3 more injuries: Coleman, Barkley, Lukaku
Howard
Hibbert Stones Jags Oviedo
McCarthy Barry
Delboy Miralles Kone
Rodriguez
How can anyone be happy with that?

Think about it tho and let it sink in. We have spent 20mil on players if Lennon comes. At the same time we have passed up offers for Stones, Coleman and Naismith worth more than 70mil!!! Thats showing some serious intent. I cant believe ppl want us to sell Naismith. What a pro he is. Does not matter if he is on the bench most of the time. He always enters the pitch to fight for a starting place.
We got a new striker, he will be a back up for Lukaku and Kone (who has surprised us this season so far) perhaps RM feels the same way? Kone is showing us why we bought him so a new striker might not be first priority.
Number 10 then? Sure i would have loved it if we got one in but if we get Lennon we will have Barkley, Gerry and Mirallas. All 3 very capable of playing as a nr 10.
We got Mori, an argentinian international (1 cap is better than 0)
And we got a couple of players that are on growth.
All in all its a better window than most seem to think.
Or maybe im drunk...

Who said he would? It's what I'd prefer to see and whilst in Greece he played through the middle or upfront where he was effective hence the suggestion
Nobody said he would. You would prefer to see him played there, but, I'm looking for the solution to the no 10 position and it doesn't matter if people would prefer him to play there, he won't. So what is the solution if we do not buy someone?

Why no loans this year? Is the deadline different for loans?
-
With an hour to go, I would say we are done now, we would have heard if anything else was likely to happen.
The only way I can see us getting another player, is if its another player from Spurs so its done at the same time. Can get a 2 hour extension on the deadline if the deal is submitted before 6pm to do paperwork.

I've said from the off we wouldn't sign a "no 10" the moment we bought Cleverley nulified that notion for me and the way Martinez sets the side up
Mirallas has goals in him so I'd prefer us to utilise him and play him in the hole
We need a creative mid but I didn't and still don't think we'll sign one
Mirallas is not going to play no10 though, he would have already if that was the case.

Sky sources: Everton believe they're close to agreeing a permament deal with Spurs for Aaron Lennon, who was on loan at Goodison last term.
They are confident paperwork can get sorted in time, and there is a strong possibility he may carry out his medical in London.
Does he play in the no10 position then!!!!

Lennon in, Naismith and McGeady out to cover costs. We would have spent £10m max this year.
Or, we sell Naismith and McGeady and Lennon falls through, then we spent the wages we have saved from Eto, Naismith, McGeady, Distin, Alcaraz this summer and nothing else.
-
No one other than Lennon is coming in. Anybody else still happy we left it so late?
Fucking disgrace. Get ready for the "we're getting Yarmalenko in Jan shouts" I'mfucking boiling inside here absolutely boiling

Not a chance. Not saying there isn't a player in there, but far too expensive. Can he play creative AMC? I thought he was more of a winger?
No 10 for Roma when he scored most of his goals I think.
-
Not a number 10 by the looks of the video, would be a good signing to push Lukaku but would not solve our main problem.

It's being touted in one of the rags he's goin for a cut price £8.75m I smell bollocks there like. Hope we get someone in coz if we don't it's all guna kick off

We probably offered 1m a year for 25 years!

Be a good 3rd signing. Can play Denfensive Midfield, Box to Box, Centre Back and I think he may have played as a full back when needed.
Played in all those positions I think for Arsenal when required. Think your right though, should be played in the Barry position.
Very good cover for many areas we have no cover for (Centre Back and Right Back) and can replace Barry if he's tired due to his age.

I think it will be Evans, Lennon & Pato.
-
He's injured!
Got injured while on loan, probably wouldn't if he was still with us.
-
Mistake letting Garbutt go on loan.
-
If we can get the players who "should" be fit i would like us to play;
Howard
Coleman Stones Jags Baines
Barkley McCarthy Cleverley
Kev Rom McAlaney
This is the team I would like. McCarthy as the holding midfielder and Barkley & Cleverley further forward.
I doubt it will happen though, Barry will play.

Need to offer something like 12m euros for him while we can. Get him while they are shitty with Seville bid.
-
Getting bored with the "Martinez dont know this and that crowd". When i talk to any football fan, regardless of which club they support, they all seem to think that we have a great manager in RM. I agree 100%
He dropped Distin when he wasnt good enough to play. Who should he have been on instead of? Stones or Jags? A fit Alcaraz was the better option too. Distin looked really shaky last season. One of the reasons that we got such a poor start and lost so much confidence in the back four. He was a really good Everton player before that but was left wanting last season.
I thought it should have been Jags dropped at the time when Distin was dropped.

I wouldn't say Osman and Peanuts are not quality players, but they are getting older and need replacing. This type of player could be bought now and they can be bleed into the team ready for why the likes of Osman do retire. Save us money on the long run and will make it an easier transition.

For the 6m euros quoted for Halilovic, it should not matter what our budget is!

Ive read on a few sites that Chelsea are prepared to break the record transfer for an english defender with a bid of over £30m

Yes, but they have sold a defender for £50m, that is what his price should be based on.
John Stones

I don't think there was a 4th bid either. I just think Chelsea (or the media) were trying to unsettle Stones further.
Epic Fail, as it seems to have unsettled the Chelsea Defence more than it has effected us. I think the whole thing has ended Chelsea shot at holding on to the title and I could not be happier about it.
