The way Ossie has been playing this season he would struggle to hit the sea if he fell off a fucking ship he'd hit the sea just too weakly to break the surface!!

shocking result from a shocking performance, moyes is really pissing me off this season with his selection choices, why oh why does he insist on playing fellaini, heitinga and osman out of position, play them where they are meant to play or dont play them at all! arteta has been pretty poor this season and contnued it again today, seems to be a lot slower this year and definitely need to stop him from taking the set pieces as well. think we had around 7 shots today....at home....against newcastle....with their second choice goalkeeper playing, thats just piss poor

Pienaar for me, looked as impressive as he did last season, made a number of nice moves with baines down the left, their understanding is continuously our greatest threat. Howard had one of his best games for a long time, couple of immense saves in first half. Distin was beyond useless, i get so nervous everytime the opposition hit the ball anywhere near him, always beaten 4 pace and 2day also 4 positioning. Yakubu has to start the next match, so impressive when he came on, proper centre forward, held the ball up well and played others in for chances, great result in the end.

baines is havin a mare of a second half defensively, caught out positionly 2 or 3 times now, good block from jags tho

beckford off, hows he meant 2 make an impact if hes not given a half chance on goal!

zero goal threat once again, passing sideways half the time, arteta seems 2 have stopped playing his usual defence cutting through balls in the last couple of matches, got to start creating something in first ten mins of second half

how is bringing fellaini and osman on ever gonna get us another goal, and why was pienaar not playing on the left where he had a great partnership with baines all last season

He plays for Bayern Munich, Ithink he would be a great buy but I doubt we could afford or attract him here. He was linked with Chelsea the other day and I'm sure loads of teams have been watching his performances.

We definitely need more creation in midfield, little to no chances currently being made. A new left winger is an absolute necessity.

He's looked class every time I have seen him and was linked with all the major clubs last season. After Buffon he is the best Italian keeper at the moment. Anyway he couldn't be worse then Wright.

Just seen that Jimmy Bullard has agreed to join Fulham at the end of the season for 2.5 million. Why the hell did we not go for him? He is a great player and an absolute bargain at that price.

Michael Carrick for me, he has been immense all season for spurs, should now be in the squad for the world cup.

Valente's not on loan we bought him for an undisclosed fee, I think around 1 million. But we have to buy a good young left back as he will only have a couple of seasons left in him. But a good striker is still the priority.

He has tried to buy his targets at the start of the summer before but has always failed, hopefully he can get a few this time. Ellington has proved he's not good enough to score a lot in the premiership so we definitely should not go for him. West Brom don't have anyone good enough to play for Everton. Sunderland have Arca and Birm have Pennant otherwise the likely relegated teams have no one.

He's one of the best young players in football manager, he can play all across the defence and in midfield. Hopefully we will make a bid this time, we already missed out on loads of youngsters from the championship so lets not do it again.

The derby is exactly the kind of match we need big Dunc on the bench for. If he comes on with 20 minutes to go he will lift the supporters and intimidate the opposition. With Dunc breathing down his neck Hyppia is always liable for a mistake, and with us now having genuine pace all over the park there is a good chance someone will capitalise on it. (stubbs and weir not included in pace comment)

Forlan is not proven in the premiership, we all saw how he struggled at Manure and that is a large sum of money to pay for someone who is not gonna set the world alight. To be honest I don't think there is really much truth in this rumour, surely we could get much better players who want to play for us for a much smaller price. And I would have thought that by now the club has learnt not to release to the press who their targets really are. Surely Moyes has learnt from the parker/emre situation that when we are interested in a player Newcastle will declare an interest too within the next few days.
