My original point was someone ( can’t even remember who now) was talking like our acadamy is chrning out top class talent when in fact it’s not. Southamptons did for a while United hit the jackpot at one stage but other than Rooney we’ve not really had anyone through. Even the players we’ve bought, whilst I admit are atill only young are not going to be top class players and the odd.couple who broke into the first team ( Stones and Barkley) both wanted out at the very first opportunity they got of a top 6 club wanting them.

Some of those never came through the acadamy though Nogs- they were brought in.

Holgate and DCL never come through our acadamy which was what I was talking about.
