  1. I agree with this, need to get competitive minutes into the players. Brighton was a good example of what a lack of games does, the start was horrendous! Only positives I really see is it gives a few players returning more time to be 100% fit and our 2 signings a bit more time to bed in with the squad and gel. They had 9 “senior” players in their FA Cup squad, I don’t think Afcon/Injuries should be a deciding factor, especially when being postponed for the greater safety of everyone when its only I assume 1 or 2 cases of covid in their squad, it’s definitely being taken advantage of to suit teams for example Palace tried, were rejected then put out the same team as a previous game I’m pretty sure.
  2. The way we’ve given out contracts in the past, I would assume we are still paying gylfi, otherwise we’d have to have terminated his contract, of which he was only “stood down” I’m curious to see a fully fit team with Rafa’s signings, but i’m also very skeptical especially regarding the Digne comments etc that was unproffessional imo.
  3. Not one for the chop and changing of managers, we do need stability. Question is though, how many more games can we afford to give him to turn it around? Moshiri’s pride/ego with making the appointment is at stake but we can’t afford this run to continue! 1 in 12 is abysmal and vs Brighton we were negative from the announcing of the team sheet, warning signs were there from the sideways backpass early on that almost led to a chance.
  4. Think they finally found the Arteta money hidden in Bills wallet..
  5. If he comes back does this aswell? Time does heal and he did alot for us, but he moved on and so did we.
  6. I’m against the idea of Arteta, even though I loved him as a player for us. I know your not suggesting him but too inexperienced. There are some available options as the likes of Poch are an upgrade on Silva in my opinion. Just going to be interesting to see where we land. Moshiri made the fireman sam mistake once and was ridiculed for it so I don’t see him doing that again in terms of an unpopular short term fix.
  7. I don’t think we can afford to get this one wrong, we need results, identity, philosophy, and stability. We don’t need a short term fix as that makes it how many managers in how many years and gives the players who need to start performing an excuse. I personally don’t want Moyes back, his track record with our strikers was horrible and it seemed he just sapped the confidence out of them. Also how has Morgan managed to survive and outlast this many managers
  8. Looks more likely to score than DCL tbh, I do like the way he plays on that last man and does look to have a goal in him, not a case of if but when, and I hope will see something special here once adapted.
