Looks like it's fell through
-
Surely we'll march it
-
haha it's not a loan. They're taking over the remainder of his contractI don't want to take any chances.
-
his contracts up in the summer so he won't be backPlease be permanent. Please be permanent. Please be permanent.

Apparently the cb is Keane with manolos as 2nd choice. An the striker is a 20m bid for a pl player
-
He's only 17, so still has time to grow. I was only 5'1 when I was 17 but I grew to 6'1 in a couple of years
-
he's worth about £1.3 billion, but think he's fed up of putting money in to a club with very little to show for it, so wants out. Sunderland have spent some decent money recently, but haven't always spent it wiselyIf he had money he would be signing better than members of an Everton nostalga group.
-
I live in sunderland and it's not that he's skint, but has had enough of putting money into the club. They're paying silly wages for players who can't get rid of. They're in a right state and the fans are resigning to going down. My mate went to the stoke game a couple of weeks ago and said when they went 3 down after 35 minutes, there was that many fans leaving it was harder getting out of the ground than it was to get in.

Wonder if we've got time to get drenthe and straqualursi in. That's the level of competence were dealing with at the minute.
-
Ffs no gonna sign anyone. Really shit window this. I know we've added some decent players, but our squad is smaller than it was last season
-
I know. All the talk of a marquee signing and it turns out to be sissoko, if that actually happens. What's Leon osman up to.And a month or so ago it was Mata, Witsel, Koulibaly, Carvalho, Ghezzal etc.
We really ought to know better than to get our hopes up, and never seem to learn from previous windows.
-
ffs this time yesterday it was brahimi and gabbiadini, now it's sissoko and valencia. What a come down. From Sky Sports News: Attention has shifted and Sissoko is the main target that Everton are after. They are the one team in negotiations with Newcastle, we understand. We understand that Newcastle are looking for £30m but that they would accept a deal that is structured around five payments of £6m each."
Lol - we can't help ourselves! What about 30 £1m payments over the next 100 years

it Lazio who've had a bid acceptedLiverpool have agreed to sell striker Luis Alberto to Napoli.
Could be that Napoli have got their replacement sorted

hopefully our manager, dof and scouting team do. If they think Hart is our no 1 that's good enough for meTo be honest, I doubt anybody watches the PL, La Liga or Bundesliga enough to have real in depth knowledge.
It's just not possible to watch every game. So it's either the odd game or highlights...which don't do much.
Unless the persons role in life is to be a bum and just sit watching footy from AM to PM.

He started really well at newcastle when he was deployed behind the striker and scored a a few goals. He was then deployed further back so the goals stopped. If you look at him at newcastle, he's worked for shot managers (pardew, Carr and mcclaren) so has he been used correctly. He showed much better form under Benitez towards the end of the season. He looked good for France in the euro's, playing a bit further forward. I think he has the attributes we are looking for in our players.

why does it have to be one or the other. Why try to limit they point stem would lose if we can replace him with better. Regardless of Hart, we need a quality no 1 and we haven't got that yetgood question. one thought i've had is this, Howard was a decent keeper for us. When we had the solid backline in the Moyes days and RM first season he was decent, above average clean sheets. But a lot can be attributed to that back 4 plus DCM helping defend. Once we went all out attack and RM didn't care about the defense, Howard was shown to be an average mistake prone keeper.
So, if we use that logic with Stekelenberg, the thought is: we have an improved defense and coach that stresses good defending at all times, we have a better DCM in Gueye, maybe those reinforcements will do enough to limit the amount of points we lose with Stek to where it's acceptable. Sure we could use a better keeper, but the defense strengthening might save us more points than a GK.
food for thought

he had the 3rd highest clean wheat to games ratio in the league last year, begin only Czech and de gea, and city had a shot defenceMedals are inspire of him. Mancini wanted rid, Pellegrini dropped him, and now their new manager hasn't even bothered giving him a chance. His biggest attribute is his nationality. Not many times I've watched City and he's performed, I'd say he drops them more points than he gains.

sissoko and bolasie are different players. Sissoko would player cm or no 10. I would love to see him along side gueye, but think 35m is a lot to pay. This scenario makes whole lto more sense to me... Why target Sissoko when we have Bolasie already?
Personally I'd much rather Bolasie, so I also hope Guardian knows what they're talking about.

Busy last hours at FCB. Bravo pushed club to make a decision. He said he wants to leave. LE wanted both GK to stay but Bravo will go to City
Guess we'll find out soon enough

He's no where near Martyn's level for me.
I'm unsure tbh, top class keepers win you titles, but we need to be challenging before we can attract one.
De Gea, Lloris, Cech, and Courtois is the bar we should be setting. I doubt any of their clubs would swap them for Joe Hart.
I agree that they're all better than Hart, but we haven't got a chance of any of them. I don't think city would swap Hart for stekelenburg or joel. Hart has more premier league medals than 3 of those keepers. Really think he'd be the best available option for us and definitely a huge improvement on what we have.
-
He's much better a commanding his area than Howard ever was and is a great shot stopper. Loved both Howard and martyn but think Hart would prove to be more important than both of them. Out of interest who would you go for.
-
I think if we got Hart he could be the best signing we've made in 20 years. I could really see pushing on with him as our no 1. He would earn us more points over a season than he would lose us by far. I know people are saying for the money we could get better, but who. Butland has had 1 season as a premier league no 1, and although impressive it's still 1season at a team with low to mid expectations. Forster is good, but is prone to errors (after his record shut out he made 3 or 4 errors in a short run of games which lead directly to goals) rui patricio isn't in the same league as Hart. I can't think of anyone available to us better than Hart
