but with the Europa league and cups I can see a lot more squad rotation this seasonBecause whoever we sign wont play regular which means it's difficult to get a player to come knowing they wont play.
I'm not saying it's right btw but that'll be a massive part of trying to attract a player- can you sign for us please and just be happy sitting on the bench or playing in the rezzies in case Baines or Williams get injured.
That's our main issue mate.

Benteke plus cash would be funnyHere comes Benteke
-
wouldn't mind Janssen but would prefer him permanent rather than loan.
-
that's his choice it will be the same if he goes to spurs
-
Chelsea need to increase squad depth, especially home grown(English) players, they got lucky with injuries last year and have put 30+ players out on loan.
I believe the bid was £20million plus £5million add-ons. They will probably come back with £25million plus add-ons and that will be accepted.
-
If it's a choice for the player he may prefer here, as Chelsea want him as a back up to Morata, has more a chance of starting regularly for the Toffee's.
-
It may well be wages rather than transfer fee, He's a decent keeper and still a good age so I would think there will be interest.

probably paper talk they have an abundance of strikers and we need one and were linked with him last season. Has he done enough with Arsenal to be considered?
-
how would have thought Niasse to replace Van Persie lol, certainly not the same type of player. Real polar opposites
-
A dream rather than a rumour I think. Chelsea wouldn't let him go to us
-
He needs company now Kone has goneWhy would we sign someone just to give our physio's someone to work on.
That's why we have McCarthy.
-
He's still only 25 and obviously improving and at 6ft 3 offers something different to our other forwards.
-
He was 23 when he left Blackburn and has obviously improved, I am not criticising him I just felt the price quoted was poor value compared to Giroud who is proven at this level, but it now seems a dream for Giroud to come.
we do need a big striker to have something different in the squad, hopefully the scouting team will pull something out of the hat before the window closes.
-
we do need a target man, and I am not sure about Gylfi especially shelling out so much money, but I have faith in the manager if he thinks he is needed that badly and worth paying ~£50million. Personally I would rather keep Barkley if he would stay and hopefully around the likes of rooney he may fulfil his potential but that doesn't seem likely. Not sure about the missing piece of the jigsaw we seam to be over run with midfield players, perhaps hes going for total football?
But we badly need a 25 goal a season player, im struggling to see anyone who will get double prem goals.
I still think Benteke would fill the void.
-
There's no denying he's a useful player but the price is crazy. When we sold Lukaku for £75million I thought it wasn't a bad deal on our part, but the market now seems to be crazy. Koeman wants him, so I guess we will be getting him, hopefully he will be the missing piece of the jigsaw, as the money will be for the here and now as he is soon to be 28 there will be little resale value.
-
I would have him as a backup, good finisher, nice to have on bench. Need a main striker first.
-
Was just a joke that he is avoiding pick Ford incase he gets whacked again. But it's Pickford who tackled him badly.
-
Maybe this is why he's being kept away from the first team. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/watch-england-keeper-jordan-pickfords-6843966

Does anyone know what's happened to this guy? He was on loan last season and struggled a bit, but I've not heard anything for months. Did he feature in preseason atall?
-
Too old for that price tag and struggled last time he tried it over here.
-
without him Swansea will struggle to stay in the league, so I see why they want as much as they can, but he will have little resale value so our board is right to set a maximum limit and I'm sure there are other players as good out there for the same or less money, just may not have the same premier league experience. Another striker definitely should be the priority
-
who knows maybe they have added yet another 5million to the fee or wanted so silly add ons or even part exchange.
-
We really need to keep players like Lookman, especially if we get into the Europa leagues groups, he would be great on the counter attack in Europe.

Maybe he wants to play with his mates Dier and Ali, although he will likely be competing for the same place as Ali.
The fact that both he and Ox turned Chelsea down late in the day is a bit of a strange one.
