Gerrards went unpunished
Yeah apart from the FA charge and the 3 match ban and all that, totally got away with it
-
Was Gerrard the only one who got charged by the FA afterwards?
-
I doubt he will leave when it comes to it. He just thinks he's clever trying to push the owners as far as he can to get what he wants. Last time when it looked like he had pushed them too far and they were about to sack him he backtracked massively and made himself look a bit silly, which I'm sure he will do again.
Whether he should go is another matter. I would say yes he probably should. Are Liverpool any closer to winning the league under him than under Houllier? Not really. I don't have a strong opinion either way but it would be nice to see a decent challenge from them.

I love this man. I don't doubt for a minute that he was a passionate blue but I also don't doubt that he's a red through and through now.
Brilliant. "Where's bigger than Liverpool?"
Oh and Rocco, Gerrard was never a blue. There's one photo of him with an Everton top but it's well documented that a certain family member made him wear it.
He's always been Liverpool mad.
I don't actually think I said otherwise but fair enough
-
He didn't mention the EFC tattoo either or his fellow traitorous ex-Blue mate Gerrard. What goes wrong with young Blue players, just look at Rooney
They, er, leave to play for teams that win things?

Liverpool have been dragged into the match-fixing scandal that has rocked European football.
There are reports that the 8-0 Champions League win over Besiktas last month is considered suspicious because of irregular betting patterns. UEFA officials refused to confirm or deny the allegations
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...in_page_id=1779 &ico=Homepage&icl=TabModule&icc=picbox&ct=5
i can see them getting kicked out of Europe if this does happen!
Why would this result in Liverpool getting kicked out of Europe?
Its quite clearly Besiktas who are being investigated. If a team could 'deliberately' win 8-0 wouldn't they just do it every week?

lol, he's already at a big club
He is. But he can be good enough to move to bigger
-
Jagielka played in a number of positions when he was at the Blades. He spent quite a while at centre back and right back and then shifted to midfield, mainly because he was our best player and could have more of an impact there.
However, it was always felt that if he moved on to a big club it would be as a right back, and if you continue to use him there you will see the best of him. Before he moves on to a bigger club again that is!

1. The Blades
2. Wednesday, Leeds United, Man United, West Brom, Wigan, Palace, Spurs, Birmingham, Newcastle
3. Crewe, Liverpool, Stoke, Man City

It hasn't had that much of an effect. I always had to go outside to smoke at work and regularly stand outside the pub this time of year anyway.
The one thing that is more annoying is when you go to a club and you now have to go out to smoke. Its spoils the evening a bit with people constantly going in and out.

I'll be cheering your boys on that night. Give The Pigs a beating!

Last night and the attitudes shown in this thread here show why football supporters in the city of Liverpool are something special
Threads like this one I saw on a Man United board show why football supporters in Manchester are cunts http://www.redcafe.net/showthread.php?t=168662

They will do better than last season but won't break the Top 6
IMO the top 4 will be the same as last season (slightly re-arranged maybe), and Spurs, Everton and Newcastle will occupy 5th, 6th and 7th (again not NECESSARILY in that order)
Oh, and the Blades will win the Championship
-
Everybody seems to be Neglecting Man City from making the top 6.
Because they won't
-
Thas the point i was trying to make saying 7th... i think maybe we WONT get a UEFA spot as it may be difficult to get in the top 6
Oh yeah. Sorry, my mistake
-
I think we will struggle to finnish higher than 7th ie a european spot.
To much competition this season. Ill be more than satisfied to get another UEFA cup spot
Is 7th necessarily a European place? I think you are right though, Uefa Cup is realistic, its just that the top 4 (not to mention the top 2!) is an extremely hard nut to crack
-
Optimism is a lovely thing and should always be applauded but come on, does anyone SERIOUSLY think that Everton will come anywhere near winning the league this season? Or (barring an Abramovich-style takeover) anytime in the next ten years??
Everton are a long way behind the top 4 in terms of money, size of squad and (sorry to say it) quality of squad. Realistically I can see Everton finishing 5th this season, under competition from Spurs and maybe Newcastle, and that is about right in all honestly
-
Exactly, turns back up when they are looking like they may have a slim chance of staying up!
I've been around but just not posted much.
I'm as surprised as anyone that we are looking like staying up!
-
He's right. One team has been European Champions and the other hasn't
-
All he meant was that managers should consider the fact that their decisions could adversly affect other teams
-
Sharp is a decent player and I was disappointed that Warnock let him go (especially considering some of the shit he's signed to play up front) but to be honest the Premiership may be a bit too high a level for him.

Teenage Mutant Ninjua Turtles was fucking shite! And why did they wear masks?
-
2-1 Liverpool
Kuyt and Crouch for them
Cahill for you

Funny how rumours spiral out of control isn't it?
I'm sure there is a grain of truth somewhere there but a few days ago it was a bouncer, bow it is a kickboxer! And if he was asking for a test to see if he was the father of his second child you would assume that he pretty much considers it all over with his missus. In which case why would be move to another country and give up any chances of seeing his kid (unless he is planning on getting custody in which case 2 months would be a bit quick for that)?
The falling out with Carragher and Fowler part is just weird. Why would his wife cheating on him mean that his mates would fall out with him? Seems a little harsh?
Gerrard, (Not Guilty).

I think they get sentenced next week, but I suspect they won't be massive sentences. Otherwise they would've probably tried their luck with a not guilty plea. Still not too sure why they didn't to be honest
