1. Can't believe they didn't show any of it? Outrageous.

ITV is a joke though. Watched the Man United game on Sky then switched over hoping to see the other games, but all we got was United again, followed by analysis by Robbie Earle! Couldn't stand the rest of it, but according to my mate who watched it they went on to proclaim that the stand out game of the 4th round draw is Southend v Man United! In a draw that includes Chelsea Villa, Everton Arsenal and Birmingham Liverpool I can't see many people rushing to get tickets for that one

  2. Dispite what alot of RS think we are open to banter, stick and differing opinions but when someone crosses the line a decision is taken by the team.

We're a fair bunch just a tad opinionated and a little argumentative at times!

True. Would be a rubbish forum (which it isn't) if there were no arguments

  3. I didn't realise you actually banned people on this site. How on Earth did I survive that???!!

As for the article, fair but a little early to be writing off Benitez just yet. His selections, if based on last year, are pretty sound its just that Gerrard is not scoring, which covered up a lot of the gaps last year.

  4. Didnt know your lot had been kicking off

Everton are definatly not the team to be doing that with either, I'll be over for the away match and although we would rather have a drink and support our lads than go looking for trouble our lads wont be messed with as boro found out last week when they sarted spitting and chanting through the carpark fence only to get battered back with bricks right under the bizzies noses!

Its typical of newly promoted teams to feel the urge to "prove themselves" against the bigger boys but if you manage to stay up you will see theres no place in the prem of acting like arseholes anymore and if you do you have to be prepared to fight the police too as with United and us a few seasons back.

I couldn't agree with you more, and I am as embarrassed with the meathead element of our crowd as anyone.

As I said before they are pretty much all talk anyway. Like every other club there was a firm in the 80s, a reasonably famous one, but its not like that now. When you go over for the away match you'll have no trouble and probably won't see any either.

The only trouble we've had in recent years has been when we've played Leeds or Wednesday, and with a bit of luck we won't be up against either of them for a while!

    Do I ?????

Is this perception rather than reality ??

My brother is a Liverpoo supporter along with many close friends and cousins of mine

Its the impression I got from the 'welcome' you gave me on here when you wrongly assumed I was a Liverpool fan.

If I got that wrong then I'm sorry

  5. I dont hate Man U, I work with a lot of Man U season ticket holders also, so I was happy whoever won as I get the chance to give them stick, plus I like watching football

But im not bitter, unlike your supporters on Saturday who were more interested in having a go at the home fans and fighting, which is why there was extra right Police on hand

They were singing "WILL YOU COME TO BRAMMAL LANE" (SO 1980's)as if they have some reputation or something, well you might do in the Hillbilly lower leagues, but this is the Prem, Everton have a massive away support and will sell out their allocation no problems

I never said you were bitter. I was just surprised you watched the Liverpool match considering how much you bleat about hating Liverpool.

Yes we do have a contingent who are a bit stuck in the 80s hooligan thing. Its not nice and a bit pathetic but it is mostly all talk these days thankfully.

They are the minority though and if you come to Brammall lane you'll see that most Blades fans are good lads who are there for the football

  6. The fat prick got his tactics wrong, he thought he could play like Arsenal did against Manure but he forgot that Arsenal have better players than Liverpool do

Very true. You would have thought he'd have learned by now. He plays one big slow man up front, aided by a little guy who falls over all the time, and then packs his midfield with people who never offer any attacking threat, then wonders why the opposition centre backs can get forward to score!

  7. No, I like watching football, I also watched some of the arsenal gam and the Real Madrid barcelona game

Who do you support again :)

You know who I support. And I conceded that you were the better team on Saturday even without your twelth man

I was just surprised that you spent your time watching a team that you devote so much effort to hating

  8. Everybody can slag off the Refs for one decision or another it happens every weekend.

Dont forget the Ref has two sets of supporters to satisfy, so any decision made by a ref will be disputed by one side or the other, working on that basis Referees will NEVER make the right decision.

Its time the FA stood by the REFS instead of demoting them to the lower Leagues, anybody questioning the refs Decisions should be charged with bringing the game into Disrepute.

I know the managers do to a certain extent, but i'm also talking about the players, if they dont get booked by the ref for backchatting the FA should use the video evidence like they do for other offences.

Players protest their innocence for every foul they are pulled up for, and you dont have to be a lipreader to see the abuse thats directed at the man in charge. Its about time they done something about it.

BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF CAMERAS AT THE GAMES THESE DAYS, THINGS THAT HAPPEN IN A GAME CAN BE SEEN FROM EVERY POSSIBLE ANGLE.

And i think that is throwing increasing pressure on Refs, its time they where shown a bit of respect by the players, and Managers, and looked after a bit better by the FA.

Fair points all but when it is the ref making headlines, there is something wrong. The decent refs tend to be the ones that you don't notice, and the game flows around them. Some refs seem to love the limelight, love making controversial decisons and as a result are usually the ones who get no respect from the players.

  9. AJ was fouled and made far less of it than 90% of strikers would have!

As for the referee its swings and roundabouts ref'ing in general has been piss poor this season and we have been let down many times, take Newcastle for example we were robbed of 3 points by the worst offside decision i'v ever seen!

Johnson was within his rights to go down as he was impeded so getting the shot in would be more difficult. I have no problem with him. I only wish that Bromby had done the same when he was fouled in the box later on!

I don't think it was necessary to send Davis off though. Again, its not Johnson's fault, its Gallagher being a wanker as usual, but it did spoil the game.

I agree with you about refereeing in general. It does swing in roundabouts, and that Newcastle goal was laughable (offside rules never seem to apply to Newcastle) but I think we still win in the dire ref stakes for the first day of the season, when the ref gave a penalty against us because our man, essentially, thought about fouling Gerrard.

I guess our day will come but I sometimes wonder if referees WANT to be slated by Warnock. Like some kind of badge of honour

  10. i quite enjoyed liverpool trawling the world to try and get someone to buy their club quite embarrising really......thats why i dont want faceless people comeing into efc im happy struggling along with bill kenwright....we are improving :)

    51496

Thats the dilemma in modern football really though isn't it? No clubs want to sell out but all want to make progress too. Say if someone from abroad did offer 10 Billion for Everton would you not want Kenwright to sell?

Liverpool seemed to make a terrible hash of the whole thing. My understanding was that they wanted investment but were offerring nothing in return, which no businessman would be interested in!

  11. Sorry for not putting this in the Computer Help section but stuff gets lost in there and people don't seem to read it. So..

I'm looking at getting a laptop so Josh stops throwing me off my (alright..our)  PC. My understanding is that to run both at the same time I'm gonna need a router but not another modem..is that right?

Spoke to my ISP just now and they suggested the best way was to upgrade my connection, pay an extra £4.50 a month which would give me a wireless router for free and faster connection.

Still don't know a great deal about this so if any of that sounds daft can someone let me know..ta.

    51490

Definately the way to go Mike. A while back my computer broke and so I went out and bought a laptop and set up the wireless connection. Just made sense at time. The thing is that then I got the PC working again and now the missus uses it so needed both of them to have internet connection. You basically just plug in this box near the phone and both computers can connect to internet from anywhere in the house, a lot faster than before as well. Definately recommend it

  12. ok i dont believe that part but if you really do support them... 20TH HAHAHA

    51460

I didn't think anyone would believe me quite frankly which is why I never said it before. It hardly seemed worth saying anything as people had already made up their minds but there we are. I've said it now.

I do support them. I am from Sheffield (although I live in London now). And yes we may be in 20th right now but you have to make allowances. For a start all of our players are a bit rubbish and Warnock appears to still be treating the Premiership as some kind of holiday at the moment. When it finally dawns on him that we have to fight to stay there we'll pick up.

  13. Bad example really

You call "your far tooo serious and a RS so stop spoiling our fun"

an example of abuse when you have already acknowledged your post was wrong

Jesus, you are a foookin knob of the highest order, all you ever post is arguments or infamatory comments. Why are you here you bellend

GET A LIFE, BTW who do you support again

    51446

Knob? Bellend? And this isn't firing abuse?!

Well fuck you you fucking twit. And its none of your fucking business who I support. Wanker.

  14. With posts like that as your first of the day surly you must be able to see I'm only responding to the shite that comes out of your mouth?

Hurling abuse pfffft find one post where you havent prevoked in the previous one!

    51439

    Example

Wasn't it his personal wealth that he was looking to buy Liverpool with though? I don't think his assets would have been frozen in any case as he is not a dictator and has done nothing wrong. It is a coup against the governing system not the Prime Minister personally.

    51439

your far tooo serious and a RS so stop spoiling our fun

For the other evertonian, that was my first thought when I heard that on the Radio, but as we know that lot across the park have sold their soul to the devil
